25.01.2022 Recommend Damien to everyone in the Warragul and outer area. Ive bought his Lamb and Beef and cannot fault the quality v price. Not to mention the service - delivered from farm to door for less than youd pay at the supermarket!

24.01.2022 The Greeks love their honey. It has a firm presence in many dishes. Thyme honey is considered the best. Adding edible gold flakes puts it on the top shelf for both flavour and health benefits - and price!

23.01.2022 True! If only more people knew.

23.01.2022 Ikan Kelak Kuning (Lombok Yellow Curry Fish) A dish I learnt today at cooking class. Surprisingly simple and super tasty. Im looking forward to sourcing the authentic ingredients when I get home.

22.01.2022 These people know about Potato Crisps.

20.01.2022 Campsite Beer Damper. Two foil pie dishes clamped together, wrapped in foil created a mini oven. Damper ingredients: flour, cayenne, beer, S&P, Parmesan. Prepped in the van with one bowl, one bread knife.

19.01.2022 Ravioli Ninja! I tried the mechanical attachment to my pasta machine to produce some ravioli. I found it too frustrating so I went back to the method Ive been using for years. The filling is full of flavour and totally delicious. I cant wait for the feedback.

19.01.2022 Indonesian Sambal Oelek in production at a village market.

18.01.2022 Thanks Jude ...

18.01.2022 Japan's unbelievable school lunches are surprisingly educational.

16.01.2022 Dry aged Beef on display at this restaurant in a rather ornate coolroom with footpath frontage. Certainly enough to make a Vegetarian squeamish!

15.01.2022 Fast food Island style! Pick your "stick" and it will be BBQ'd for you as you wait.

13.01.2022 These are interesting, although the cooking times would depend on your microwave output. Thanks Heather & Jude for sharing.

13.01.2022 Dishwasher Indonesian style ...

12.01.2022 5 hrs in this city and I'm loving it. The word "Enchanting" comes to mind.

09.01.2022 Its that time of the year again. Im having fun with different variations of buns.

08.01.2022 These little babies are perfect to freeze for when friends drop in for a coffee. A quick zap in the microwave will restore their doughy, sweet butteriness as if they've just come out of the oven! Thank you Darcy and Peter for your efficient disposal of the test batch this afternoon I'll post the recipe later.

08.01.2022 A culinary food tour in Athens doubled as an awesome history lesson! I learnt more today than I did at school.

07.01.2022 A very clever take on Cheese Cake ... The cake artist was Selena Connolly.

06.01.2022 Well done Darcy. Your 7.2ft Bronzy will provide for many mouths at our Christmas party this weekend. Awesome hunting skills and a truly magnificent fish!

06.01.2022 The landlord of this village market had very good English and offered to show us around while he collected the rent from stall holders!

06.01.2022 I have the pleasure of these little beauties before they hit Neil Perrys restaurants. Rock Flatties in abundance fresh from East Gippsland! These are only hours out of the water. How many ways can I cook them?

06.01.2022 Now that's gotta be good! Thanks to my buddies at Inveraray Station. Full blood Wagyu. Export quality. I've matured it for 3 weeks. Assessed Marble score 6-9. I'm thinking 7 or 8! Can't wait to enjoy it on a bed of steamed greens with a sauce of caramelised pan juices, followed by a tangy/citrus desert.

06.01.2022 Beer seems to be the theme today! Beer soaked hickory chips in the smoker.

06.01.2022 Hardboiled eggs with no mess, finally! Order here https://trendyshack.com/egg Makes the PERFECT gift!

05.01.2022 Looks like a muffin but it's not! No carbs in this breakfast burger. Wheat free and surprising tasty. I used a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese instead of processed sliced cheese. Bacon was replaced with pan fried shaved ham. Very satisfying!

05.01.2022 Fun Fun! My new manual mincer - from Aldi. $14.95. My sister got one too. They turned out to be bonza little units! Today we created Cajun Lamb, Italian Pork, Chipolata and Tarragon Chicken. ... Its been years since Ive had retail sausages because of the rubbish ingredients. Tonight I enjoyed 3 homemade (gourmet) sausages with no side effects! Yay!

04.01.2022 A good tomato sauce should always look like a murder scene!

01.01.2022 Peter asked if I have tried the traditional Greek desert called Galaktoboureko. It was one of my favourite dishes I tasted during today's food tour. I plan to try it but I may need to cover my kitchen with tarpaulins first! Here's a video I took today of a very skilled chef making Galaktoboureko.
