12.01.2022 Welp, it's coming to an end! The final day of the rally & rally add-on. Today we drove from Mt. Tamborine in Queensland across the New South Wales border and into Byron bay - the sights were sensational! The lighthouse was a treat too - the most Easterly point on the Australian continent. I could almost see our house from there! Now for the 3-day drive back to Melbourne. Sounds like we'll be taking the coastal roads the majority of the way which should be fun!
10.01.2022 Made a big drive today! 160 miles south of Noosa. Saw the Glasshouse Mountains (old volcanic fissures that went into sandstone and created glass outcroppings once the sandstone eroded away) as well as a vintage WWII Bristol airplane. Pretty cool tooling around the airport graveyard!

04.01.2022 Been a wild few days! Friday saw us ripping around on the roads West of Noosa with a "guided" trip up the renowned Noosa Hillclimb! Saturday saw us at the Eumundi Markets followed by a nice farewell dinner. Awards were given out and I was lucky enough to earn the "First USA Participant" Award as well as a nice plack made from ~2000 year old Huon Pine from Tasmania! On Saturday, we began the long trek back South to Melbourne with a group who decided to stay for a day on Mount Tamborine (due west of the Gold Coast) to dill around. Got to tour a friends Avocado orchard as well which was pretty neat! The views are amazing! We continue southward tomorrow!
