25.01.2022 Mind blowing facts about your spine - Fact 2. Every morning when you wake up you are actually 1-2cm taller. The little cartilage discs in our spines which sit in between each bony vertebra are 88% water. This means they are able to change and compress throughout the day as a result of activity and gravity. When we go to sleep at night and lay down these small discs decompress and hydrate, which is why we wake up a little taller. We find this fact specifically cool as it can really help us help you with spinal rehabilitation and exercise timing.

The last few weeks we have posted videos to help educate you on what sciatica actually is and we provided a few tips to avoid aggravating it. If you or someone you know suffers from sciatica make sure you watch right on through as we will show you 3 of our best tips to help RELIEVE your sciatica. Now, the trick to relieveing sciatica is to help the nerve move through it's interfaces. The sciatic nerv...e is like fishing line, its pretty stiff and hard to actually stretch, so we need to ensure it can glide freely through all the muscles, tendons, bones etc surrounding it. Our three best exercises for sciatic nerve mobility: 1. Straight Leg Raise Slider - This exercise allows us to glide or 'slide' the sciatic nerve through its interfaces without causing any pain by stretching or pulling on it. 2. Piriformis Stretch - Piriformis is a muscle commonly impeding the nerve and is often a key area to treat to help relieve your symptoms. 3. Romanian Deadlift - This exercise is fantastic as it allows you to glide the nerve through the calves, hamstrings, piriformis and lower back while also strengthening your core, glutes, and hamstrings. 04.01.2022 I wanted to reach out to you given the recent Greater Brisbane Lockdown due to COVID-19. We have had a number of clients calling today wondering whether they are allowed to attend their appointment. I've recorded a video for you that covers the current rules under the Greater Brisbane Lockdown and the next 10 days. Check it out.... To summarise, from tomorrow: - Clients who live in Greater Brisbane are able to attend the clinic to as we are a essential health service - Clients who have visited Brisbane (but have NOT been to the contact locations during the times are able to attend their appointment as normal. Contact locations/times are listed here: https://www.qld.gov.au//cor/current-status/contact-tracing - Clients who have visited the above locations during the times listed on QLD health are NOT able to attend the clinic and must get tested, advise the testing location that you have been in the contact location and self-isolate as per QLD Health instructions. The discs lie in between each bony vertebra in our spines and act as little shock absorbers. They are vital in the mobility of our spine as we run, jump, sit and move through everyday life. This is the reason the middle component is fluid like and predominantly water to allow for movement.
