22.01.2022 Hey everyone. We are so sorry but due to unforeseen circumstances CRUX will be closed for the next week. We are so upset that we only just re-opened and are now having to close the doors again, but this is something that comes with running a small business. ... What has happened is completely out of our control and we have no other alternative but to close, but trust that everything is alright and we will all be back on our feet again next Wednesday Thank you so much for your understanding and support. This place is everything to us and we are truly here for the long haul which means constantly overcoming and adapting to whatever shitty situation gets thrown our way. 21.01.2022 Thank you so much to every one of you who came down to celebrate our second birthday with us. We are so blown away by all of the support you guys continuously give us. Seriously. We loved serving your wonderful smiling faces all weekend whether dine-in or take-away, amongst the madness you were all so patient and we are so grateful for that. Another massive thank you of course to our chefs and team who keep this wheel running. CRUX couldnt be here at this point without you g...uys and all of your hard work. We feel so lucky to be able to do what we do. Thank you!

19.01.2022 Dat good good.. popcorn chickn Todays been wild guys, thank you for your patience and thank you for supporting us on our last weekend before we go on HOLIDAYS! We appreciate each and every one of you!

18.01.2022 YES, ITS ALL VEGAN & YES, WE ARE OPEN! and so is our kitchen WE MISSED YOU ALL! ... A few updates: #1 our renovations are half way done, so please bare with us for the next month and a bit as we transition! A different seating structure is on the way.. as well as some more pleasing aesthetics #2 currently we still have limited seating due to Covid still being a thing. We believe the impact of the pandemic has influenced the hospitality in such a way that things will no longer be the same as they were, and how we have adapted thus far is just part of the way we do things now. This is a new norm. #3 we are still walk-in only and dont take bookings. All food inside will be served on plates as per the good old days, and anything outside will still be served in take-away. #4 this is a HUGE transition period for us. We have expanded our kitchen, removed half of our old dining area, and are slowly changing the concept of CRUX. The main reason for this is that we NEED to feed more of you! Our old kitchen was a legitimate shoe box and we hit capacity about 1 and a half years ago . This new space is going to allow us to create so much more. We cant wait to slowly have our visions unravel, and to keep feeding you the best vegan and GF food in ADL. For now well be here kickin it love, the team @ CRUX @ CRUX

17.01.2022 Thats all for now folks! CRUX is going on holidays From the bottom of our hearts we thank all of our customers so much for their support this year. ... Surviving through a pandemic is one thing, but completely thriving is another - this is all thanks to you guys for loving and appreciating what we do. We are so proud of ourselves and our entire team for how weve all adapted and overcome every obstacle thats been thrown at us in 2020. Its safe to say we all deserve a f*cking break. Well be closed until the 30th of July, and re-opening on Friday the 31st. The reason for temporarily shutting during this time is mainly because we have decided to stay open over the silly season this year (December), which is when we normally close for holidays, to give you an epic vegan joint to hang out at with your friends and family over Christmas and New Years. We also have half of our expected renovations to commence, which is going to mean the shop will be in shambles. Again, we thank you for your understanding and continued support. 16.01.2022 Folks its been TWO WHOLE YEARS since we opened the doors to what was once our baby coffee shop! If youve been here from the beginning youve seen us start from the ground up. George pretending he knew how to make coffee and me pretending to be a chef (we quite literally winged this entire thing and somehow ended up here). Youve seen us do countless renovations to improve. Youve seen us grow a strong team to feed and serve you. Youve seen us continue to push th...e boundaries of food. Youve seen us produce dishes that made people question our vegan status. Youve even seen us survive and thrive through a pandemic. 2 years later and weve completely transformed out of the norm of what we thought we had to do to be a cafe. We have decided to just create our own damn lane. We put our entire hearts and souls into what we do here. Whether youre new to CRUX, new to Veganism or youre a long time supporter and customer, we urge you to come celebrate with us this weekend for our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY! $2 small coffees ALL WEEKEND as well as a specially designed menu! 07.01.2022 Hey everyone, Firstly, we just want to say thank you so much for the recent support and understanding of us needing to extend our closing period. Secondly, we have to break some more shitty news.. CRUX is going to be closed again this coming week, and possibly even for longer. NO we are NOT shutting down... We believe whole heartedly in transparency, so we want to emphasis that whats happened is completely out of our control and we are doing all that we can to re-open our doors. Weve run into staffing issues unexpectedly, and currently dont have anyone to hold down the kitchen for us. Seeing as we do such unique specialty food, the positions we need filled are quite difficult to fill just overnight. This process could take us some time. We want to make sure that whoever comes in here sees our vision just as we do. Please be patient with us, and understand that we have truly been forced into this position due to this being a legitimate SMALL business. We deeply apologise and hope we can be back on our feet sooner than later. We will of course update you on socials as soon as we have an exact date of when we will be able to re-open. We are lucky that we are resilient enough to weather something like this. Thank you again and see you on the other side

02.01.2022 BACON. Vegan, house made, and gluten free. No more rice paper.. no seitan.. none of that. ... George has spent countless hours researching and trialing recipes. (This guy f*cking loves this shit.) And wouldn’t be able to do this without the beautiful people around him COVID’s after effects have caused on going staffing issues for the hospitality industry, so while doing all the work behind the scenes for CRUX, as well as all his usual research and development for insane boundary pushing vegan food, George is now managing the kitchen also. Meaning our menu is well curated but also a little limited for the time being. Business is hard. Really hard. Hospitality is even harder. Running an all vegan business.. is a whole other thing. But it’s what we’re here to do. Push the boundaries, expand people’s minds on what they think food is, and create an epic dining experience with our innovative food.
