13.01.2022 Cacao ceremony A popular ritual in yoga communities, Cacao ceremonies take place throughout the week at BaliSpirit Festival, each varying slightly depending on the facilitator both during the daytime and nighttime program. You may be wondering, where did cacao ceremonies come from? And why are there ceremonies revolved entirely around chocolate?... Cacao ceremonies have actually been around for thousands of years, originating all the way back to Mayan and Aztec traditions in Central and South America, used for spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes for inner awakening and creative guidance. Pure cacao is used as a heart opening medicine for people to safely experience awakening, revelation and inner healing. Cacao is used in a sacred medicinal ritual, where intentions are set and once consumed, euphoric states are unlocked, negative emotions are released and we are able to connect to ourselves and the loving energy in our body.
05.01.2022 Priming and meditation Do you wake up each morning feeling lethargic, sluggish, overwhelmed or apathetic about work and the day ahead of you? Is there an obstacle that causes you to start overthinking right when you wake up? Many people wake up feeling completely drained and, though they want to be focused and feel successful, they simply don’t have the mental energy to accomplish their goals... The positive effects of priming and meditation on psychology have been proven again and again. You can learn to change your state of mind by changing your physical state with an effective priming routine. You can learn to use repetition priming to create positive associations and use the law of attraction to get what you want in life
04.01.2022 Turmeric vs Curcumin Turmeric has been used in ancient Ayurvedic medicine for over 4,000 years and is still widely used to treat conditions from cuts on the skin to Cancer You probably know turmeric as the flavorful spice that gives Indian curries it distinctive yellow color.... Curcumin Is a natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Curcumin might be the most powerful natural anti-inflammatory we know of. Outlining the benefits Curcumin is well known therapeutically for its anti-inflammatory action as it can help reduce joint pain. In one systemic review, curcumin was found to be an effective and safe anti-inflammatory across six human trials. In another pilot study with patients who had rheumatoid arthritis, the results found that the patients taking curcumin had significant improvement over patients taking diclofenac sodium. In people with osteoarthritis C-reactive protein levels (CRP), the inflammatory marker was shown to decrease whilst taking curcumin for a period of three months. Part of its anti-inflammatory action may also be responsible for its ability to improve heart health, as studies have shown it to be useful for some heart conditions, including arthrosclerosis. It could improve memory loss in patients with Alzheimer’s, so far the evidence is still been collected. The Dosage Problem with Curcumin Supplements Unfortunately this is not as easy as picking up some turmeric powder from the grocery store and adding it you your meals. That’s because when you add natural turmeric to your food it contains only about 3% curcumin. Unless it is combined with another substance, you only absorb about 1% of the curcumin. We don’t recommend using turmeric because of the absorption issues outlined above, but even turn to curcumin supplements instead, there’s a good chance they contain only a fraction of this dose
