Is Legal Aid free? A. Not always, Legal Aid does cover the costs for a solicitor to represent you if you complete the process and pass the means and merit test. However depending on your financial circumstances Legal Aid may impose a contribution made payable to our office. Q. Process of Legal Aid? A. Legal Aid will look at your circumstances, both financially and current matter that you are needing representation for. You will need to supply Legal Aid with financial documentation and any documents relevant to the matter, as well as completing a Legal Aid application.
