19.01.2022 I was going to post this last week, but I think it’s serendipitous that I got to it today. With the horrendous situation here in Australia, kindness is what we need on all fronts. 09.01.2022 The K.I.S.S. PRINCIPLE Keep. It. Simple. Stupid! Might not be the most polite phrase but I live by this rule.... It is so easy to overcomplicate our businesses these days. Even the smallest business has regulations, policies, procedures, systems it's not too hard to go down the rabbit hole and feel completely overwhelmed. For example, do you have an accounts system, a customer relationship management system, and an email marketing system? Each one of those has a list of your customers in it. Do you maintain all three lists or one? It doesn’t sound like its hard but three lists mean three jobs to do and it gets complicated and busy real quick. There are a bunch of ways you can overcomplicate your business. But also? There are a bunch of ways you can simplify things and make life easier. There are some amazing tools out there, and with a couple of tweaks to systems and looking at what you need vs what is really not important, you can get things streamlined and schmick without breaking the bank. If you keep your business simple? You’ll keep your life simple, and have the headspace and time to reinvest in your business.
