15.01.2022 Here's a snippet of our progress at Piety Group's Hurstville project. With over 55,000 cubic metres of bulk excavation, more than 800 foundation and shoring piles, and in excess of 1300 square metres of shotcrete, it is one of our largest projects. Being an ex-quarry, thousands of tonnes of uncontrolled fill had been brought to the site which resulted in various obstructions encountered by our piling rigs as well as millions of dollars in asbestos remediation. ... Extra care also had to be taken when installing a 900mm secant pile wall along the adjacent rail corridor. Due to the depth and size of the piles required on this project, we had to utilise our recently acquired Soilmec SR-75 piling rig which allowed for the completion of the piling works using the CFA piling method. #excavation #piling #construction #engineering #soilmec
