25.01.2022 URGENT NEWS MORE QUALIFIED OPTICAL DISPENSERS NEEDED We have all struggled to find new staff qualified as an Optical Dispenser. The only way to get more qualified staff is to employ a new person and train them through the available training courses. With the federal government announcements on 7th October 2020 their wages can be subsidised by up to 50% of their salary for 12months, up to a maximum of $28,000 but they must be registered to complete a Cert IV in Optical Dispen...sing Course code HLT47815 via RMIT in Melbourne or Via ACOD Australia and New Zealand. Course fees apply in some instances as subsidies for each state are different but with the government grants to help train current or new staff this is a magnificent opportunity to get more qualified Optical Dispensers in our industry. As this is across all apprenticeship training courses, not just Optical I would highly recommend enrolling any current staff needing training or new staff as soon as possible to maximise your subsidy and secure this once in a lifetime opportunity before the numbers reach the capped threshold. (Payments to be backdated from enrollment date) For full details click link https://docs.employment.gov.au///bac-questions-answers.pdf See more
