20.01.2022 Some great thoughts . . . Not just for this period, but more often as necessary

18.01.2022 Mental Health Starts with our Children Why? How? Who? When? . . . This is a bold theme for this year's Mental Health Week WA. "Given how critical the early years are for lifelong brain development and functioning, learning, and wellbeing, the theme for Mental Health Week 2021 in Western Australia will be: Mental health starts with our children." https://mentalhealthweek.org.au/... But what does this mean to us at the grassroot level? Let's talk about this important matter. We may not be so equipped to unpack the "brain development" aspect, but we can converse about the everyday dynamics. We're in this together. Family is worth it! #multicultural, #adapt, #immigration, #migration, #change, #mentor, #people, #bridging, #lessons, #learn, #grow, #diversity, #inclusion #mentalhealth #together #hope #faith #love

18.01.2022 Looking forward to leading a real conversation along with Niche, Emmanuel, King-David, and Kat Yew. Watch this short clip as we came together yesterday to catch...-up, share some thoughts, and brainstormed on what the podcast on Sat would look like. Hope you can join us. It may not attract a crowd but we're hoping someone will be encouraged. We're not experts (and we'll make that disclosure from now), but we're humans. "Mental health is too human to remain a stigma."

18.01.2022 Unconscious or Conscious? I went for an early morning walk in a park close to my residence on this beautiful day. I realised that there was a lady coming out o...f her house to get into her car (I assume she was going to work). She stopped on seeing me and hurried back into her house. I did look back after walking pass the area of the park directly in front of her house: she eventually entered her car and drove off. This situation is not the first, and I think it’ll not be the last. But it got me thinking: how long am I going to keep proving that I’m not a threat just because of my skin colour, male, etc. Is it just me? Do others share this type of experiences? Do you have to almost walk into the bush or find other paths when you come across other residents walking their dogs in a public park that you’re as entitled to use just like them? Somehow the dogs get very unfriendly with you more than other people of different skin colour, etc. This post is not to necessarily blame the woman that got cautious coming out of her house and seeing a brown-coloured, male taking an early walk, and a bit too close to the point of getting into her car (at least for her comfort). Neither do I direct this message to people walking their dogs in a public park. They may have had unpleasant experiences. Thank God people don’t get violently confronted in Australia for walking on another person’s lawn (though not advisable). But we shouldn’t wait to get to that point before we decisively address the situation. Were the behaviours of that lady or those dogs unconscious or conscious? Shouldn’t we go beyond these experiences (though they matter) and address the situation as a systemic issue? Really, there’s a limit to what any individual can do to solve the challenge. How do we make it better for all stakeholders? It’s tiring to be on the receiving end. Maybe it’s tiring as well to be on the other side. How can we bridge the gaps as a community? We’re in this together. What do you think? Have you had similar experiences (on both sides)? Do you have some wisdom to share please? (I do ask that you this respectfully please; like I remarked earlier, it’s mostly not about right or wrong since one does not know what others are going through or have experienced in this context)

14.01.2022 Give a man (or a woman) a fish and you feed him for a day; Teach a man (or a woman) to fish and you feed him for a lifetime; What about the man or woman owning a pond or two containing fishes? What could be a more valuable way of finalising our special Q&A series than focusing on one of key aspects of entrepreneurship - MARKETING (including social media marketing)? ... 03.01.2022 Hear this key message from our last episode of CaLDpreneurs Q&A special: "you could have the best product and services, but if people do not know that you exist, they will not buy from you" Unfortunately, this increasingly applies to not-for-profit business as well; if funding bodies do not know that you (and your services), you may never get that grant. #entrepeneurship, #multicultural, #employment, #reinvent, #adapt, #success, #achieve, #diversity, #inclusion, #value, #change, #mentor, #international, #business, #relocation, #competitive, #advantage, #innovation, #creativity, #intelligence, #lessons, #learn, #wisdom, #wellness, #wealth,
