23.01.2022 People say I can be too "harsh" and honestly I agree, I definitely come off aggressive with a lot of content. Because my purpose is fuelled by a deep anger. The misinformation, misguidance and the downright disgusting way some of these "InFlUeNcErs" are willing to ride out as many peoples health for a quick buck infuriates me. Praying on people's self doubt to make money, regardless of the outcome. ... I built myself back, food took my body away, so I made food give it back and I ate my way out, and educated myself on the science of human nutrition so I could be some small voice in the sea of voices that speaks honestly. 19.01.2022 STOP EATING LIKE AN ATHLETE, IF YOU AREN'T AN ATHLETE So something I come across often is the goal of "sub 20% body fat" or "a six pack" etc etc Now guys, if you really want these goals, then what I say probably won't stop you, however.... Much of the time, these goals are coming from people who don't have any real experience with consistent caloric control, let alone chasing sub optimal body fat levels, and yes being naturally sub 10% body fat is extremely suboptimal. This state of body fat will wreak havoc on your hormones, your body, and your mind. ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN. Sorry lads, women have this one a hell of a lot harder than you, mostly because we don't have to worry about carrying a child, which unfortunately ladies, is the stock standard set up of your body, this is why you hold more fat and why that is directly related to your hormone regulation. In addition to this, women also have less testosterone, making muscle growth much harder and in turn makes energy needs drastically lower, then you have the world of hurt that comes from genetic conditions, PCOS, Hashimoto's/ low thyroid function and the list goes on Go and ask any competitive female bodybuilder what it's like getting that lean, guarantee you almost every single one will have similar answers. -loss of menstrual cycle -depression -water retention -hair loss So while all the lads out there are screaming for a six pack, the women who want one have to work 3 times as hard, because their body HATES that idea, and it reflects it. While that is the case, this by no means makes it easy for a male to achieve it either. So I ask you WHY?? WHY do you HAVE to have a six pack or a "toned stomach" WHY so you have to be competition lean WHEN YOU ARENT A COMPETITOR. Firstly, learn how to be consistent. Track your calories, work within your limits, REST ADEQUATELY, and reduce your expectations to be realistic and sustainable within your specific needs. Don't eat, and train like a bodybuilder unless you want to fucking be one Don't deny our evolutionary history, ladies, it's ok to hold more fat, YOU'RE KINDA MEANT TO.

17.01.2022 This time in 2015 I was crying in my sister's car because I had eaten chocolate. I never thought I was wrong, I thought I had figured out the secret to fat loss by cutting all my carbs and training for 4+ hours a day, not letting myself eat until it was all done. Never thought I'd end up with a Nutrition qualification, let alone be helping people with their fat loss. ... 15.01.2022 Holidays Off routine, no access to your usual meals, maybe no gym. What are you going to do? ... You're going to ENJOY THEM. I used to get cripling anxiety travelling, because I had creates this "perfect" routine of meals and exercise and the sheer concept of missing a day, a week even, would break me. Looking back now I am so sad, sad for the memories I ruined with obsessive diet control. Being unable to just enjoy myself without the constant fear of "getting fat again" and I know some of you feel the same way. You can't be in control of everything, but you can be in control of how you handle stress. So when you're off on a holiday. Here's some tips: -Enjoy yourself, completely -Dont over-exercise, enjoy movement, if you have access to a gym do something different, go for a hike, or a swim in the beach -Eat the food -Drink the beer and fuck the scale off. Life isn't about losing weight. 11.01.2022 EAT MORE There is something to be admired about the approach to nutrition that was used in the classic era of bodybuilding.. While of course, anabolic steroid use was prevalent, they were very simple, very new and very much an afterthought to adequate nutrition. The goal was eat more to grow, eat less to shred. Any real bodybuilder from that era will repeat this sentiment.... The simple fact is, you can NOT, grow muscle tissue without a surplus of calories, regardless of what you pin or not. The rate of growth is of course affected, but the science of the growth remains. Too often are young newcomers put off by the idea that the only way to get more size is to inevitably add a steroid to their program, when the reality is they first need to EAT MORE, AND THEN REPEAT THAT STEP. Ok, so I'm sure a bunch of you fitness junkies love a good quest bar, sure, why not they are a good little protein snack that you can enjoy "gUilT FrEe" What bugs me, (other than the concept of being told to feel guilty for eating some fuckin food) is this "Net Carb" bull.... Sure, these bars contain 14g of fibre, and fibre doesnt have an impact on your blood sugar as it doesn't absorb into the blood stream, and simply passes through your digestive system. BUT FIBRE HAS CALORIES just because it doesnt "sPiKe InSulIn" or it can't "Be stored as fat" is undermining your intelligence and feeding you excess CALORIES by acting like the carbohydrate content is all that matters. WRONG. This is just flagrant carb fear mongering to make more sales, pushing an idea that carbs are bad for you regardless of the calories.. Fuck mate fibre IS A CARB.
