11.01.2022 Don’t let pride kill you I have two people I know at the moment that won’t do the bowel test One is a good friend and another a good friend of a friend, the r...easoning for them not wanting to do the test, as far as I can tell, is that it is yuk, or, something they just don’t want to do... Well guys there is a bucket load of things in this life that you are going to have to do that you don’t want to do. Ask your wife, or partner if she is female, (if you have one of course before I stir a different type of shit up) She will give you a list of the things women have to endure that I am pretty damn sure they don’t want to do, but have to I can guarantee this one thing, if you don’t do the test and begin to show symptoms, you will sure as hell, begin to do a whole bunch of things that you don’t want to do, even if they don’t find anything. Lord help you if you do, if they find something like a tumour and you need to have surgery to remove it, depending where it is and beyond the pain and discomfort that comes along with a surgery, that by the way removes most of your insides and only puts back part of it, I can guarantee that in the next few months you will be forced to do a variety of tasks you never imagined you’d do and they will be the most confronting and levelling things you may ever do in your life. Putting up with the test is child’s play compared to the potential alternative which could be temporary, permanent or very permanent. So put your pride aside for a moment, think of the people in your life that will also have to endure the pain as they travel with you through this ordeal. If you are too proud to do it for yourself, do it for them, because it’s not only you that gets cancer it’s the community of people around you that get it too. Do the test, because the first thing that goes out the door is your pride, so you may as well put it aside now before the choice is taken away from you You’ll be surprised to discover it wasn’t that bad after all No one has to know if you don’t want them too, they would like to know because they care, but again that is entirely up to you. Go on stir some shit for a good cause You know, by doing it you will make everyone around you proud that you did and even give yourself a sense of What’s the word? Oh yeah Pride.
