19.01.2022 Hi Everyone You have probably seen the news that the ban on hairdressers and the half an hour slots has been lifted. Honestly, we don’t understand. Why this wasn’t considered more thoroughly in the first place, and ... Why are hairdressers and their customers exempt from social distancing laws. We believe this will be changed by the end of the weekend anyway, given the backlash to the announcement. As such, as a team, we have decided to remain closed as long as social distancing laws are in place. We would love to be doing your hair right now. We hope you all understand. 10.01.2022 Hi everyone. So many of you will have seen the announcement that we can continue operating with all the hygiene conditions that we’ve implemented and actually extended on voluntarily. That said, in line with new regulations announced this evening, we now have to reduce contact time to 30 minutes, so we need some time to absorb this and let you know what we can and can’t do. It may involve that you wash and condition prior to arrival. We are planning how we can keep you, and ...us safe, but also keep you looking gorgeous. We will be in touch, please be patient. Again, rest assured we will follow every guideline, every direction. We will be posting suggestions on how to cope with your hair when we’re not able to help......let’s face it, we have to still look great on FaceTime! We love you all, we know it’s hard. As a community we have each other’s back, but we want to, as long as we can, have your hair. 08.01.2022 Dear wonderful clients, Rest assured that at Adrian J Hairdressing we are doing everything possible to improve upon our already high standards of hygiene during this current situation. To ensure protection for all, we are cleaning all surfaces, stations, chairs, benches and door handles with disinfectant before, during, and at the conclusion of each day.... All instruments are sanitised after each use. We respectfully would ask that if you currently have symptoms of cold or flu, or, if you have travelled from overseas, or are hosting guests from overseas that have arrived on or after March 16th 2020, that you postpone your appointment for at least two weeks. We’re being careful, and we would appreciate that all our wonderful clients are too. Therefore, given these heightened sanitisation procedures at the salon we would envisage a very low risk of infection spreading. Rest assured, if we suspect ANY risk, we will ensure both your, and our safety. We look forward to your continued patronage. 08.01.2022 Hi everyone. As part of protocols, we hope you understand that we will no longer be serving refreshments. You’re welcome to bring in coffees or your hip flask full of vodka! For the moment, we’re removing all magazines, so please bring your iPad, or phone and connect to our wifi. Apparently you can’t catch anything from music, so that will be pumping.... We have also implemented only every second chair being used in line with distancing requirements. Also please note, we can’t accept your notes! Tap tap tap. (Sheesh.....a whole new world, that will come back to normal) We appreciate your ongoing support and we truly hope you understand we’re not being over zealous, rather, we’re just wanting to ensure you can feel confident that we’re providing a safe environment. 07.01.2022 Dear valued clients. We hope you’re well and safe. We are coming back......and so looking forward to it.....but please read the conditions below that we have put in place.... It has now been a month since we suspended services due to the Corona Virus despite the fact that legislation would allow us to stay open. A few salons have indeed remained open; we felt the need to assess the situation for the safety of our staff, our clients, and the broader community and as such we closed. We now feel that with all parties having been isolated, along with hygiene and safety measures, (that we had and will continue to have in place), we are now in a position to open on a discretionary basis for regular clients. A number of rules will remain in place, these include: 1. Only residents of the Sunshine Coast can make appointments at this stage. 2. You must be a regular client. We are not accepting any new clients at this time. 3. You must not visit if you or any member of your household have any signs of cold or flu or covid19. This also applies to us. 4. If you have travelled interstate or overseas in the last three weeks, we cannot take your appointment for a further three weeks. 5. We will not be providing magazines or refreshments but you are welcome to bring your own. 6. We will only be having two clients at any one time. You will be kept over two metres apart. 7. We have stringent hygiene processes in place for disinfecting all work stations, basins, equipment, and surfaces. 8. We will ask that you use hand sanitiser on arrival and departure. 9. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or defer appointments if we feel there are any concerns. Please understand, as we will need to follow strict rules regarding social distancing, and the fact we are only servicing minimal numbers each day, you may need to be flexible with appointment times. It may also take longer than normal to get back to you if you leave a message on the salon phone. We thank you for your patience. We are as excited as we hope you are that we can get you back to your beautiful you.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone. We have met as a team this morning and it is with regret that we have decided to suspend all services effective from close of business today, Wednesday 25 March. If anything changes to enable us to reopen, we will let you know. We can't take any new appointments and I'm afraid we cannot change any further appointments to today.... We are doing this despite the 30 minute rule. We believe this is not practical and not safe for all concerned. We also believe this rule will be changed shortly in any case. We cant tell you how much we appreciate your support, and when this is over we look forward to getting you back to gorgeous!
