23.01.2022 Negativity towards the construction industry This is aimed at the do gooders of our community that get behind there key board and slam the construction industr...y They are thugs They got what they deserve I want you to back the truck up a bit and take a look at the wider picture. What you see on the tv and social media is a small minority of construction workers doing the wrong thing. These workers are all part of the construction union Our domestic residential construction has nothing to do with the union The actions of this minority has destroyed the economy further. Not only will this potential 14 day lockdown effect the tradesman but there is a full knockdown effect - The trade suppliers and their employees - The delivery drivers of all the materials - The builders and their office / sales staff - The inspectors - The concrete trucks - The sand and soil yards - The lady that drives her foodtruck around to all the sites feeding the tradies - The cafes bakeries and food shops that rely on the tradies everyday. - Even the McDonald drive thru that is consistently full of tradie trailers of a morning There is many many more that I could list So now what do you think now when you read THEY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED

06.01.2022 **CONSUMER WARNING** I’d like to just put it out there that recently Ballarat has had an influx of plumbers advertising for work on many Facebook pages. These ...plumbers are are advertising as registered plumbers or qualified plumbers. Their posts show they have all the you beaut equipment and pictures of their work. The problem is, they are not licensed The difference between a licensed plumber and a registered plumber is a licensed one will give you a certificate of compliance and a seven year warranty, a registered one will not because he is working illegally and has no insurance A licensed plumber pays thousands of dollars in insurance per year to make sure you as the consumer is covered for defective workmanship and damage. Don’t be caught by going with the cheapest price until you’ve done your homework Ensure you use a licensed plumber or you could be left high and dry when things go wrong There are plenty of licensed plumbers in Ballarat We don’t need these rogues tarnishing the plumbing industry
