25.01.2022 LIVE: Press Conference Thank you to those Queenslanders who made sacrifices over the past few days. The Queensland Police Service has been nothing short of amaz...ing and should be proud of its efforts. We have asked fair and reasonable questions that need to be answered about hotel quarantine to ensure we have the best systems in place going forward. We'll continue to advocate on behalf of businesses for certainty and for the health of Queenslanders. Ros Bates MP - Shadow Health Minister

21.01.2022 Suicides affects the whole community and we should all work together to reduce this problem.

19.01.2022 Our thoughts are with Neville, family and friends. Gail was a active member in the community and she will be sadly missed.

19.01.2022 Insurance costs are spiralling out of control and Queenslanders deserve a solution. We need to give opportunities for people to afford to live in regional Queensland by building mitigation and forcing insurers to end sky-high premiums.

17.01.2022 It’s been one year since 17 year old Jack Beasley had his life cut short in a senseless knife crime on a night out with friends. He was a budding footy player a...nd had just started an apprenticeship. His legacy will live on through the Jack Beasley Foundation aiming to educate youths about knife crime and change current youth crime laws. Walk for Jack will bring family and friends together and people who didn’t know Jack to pay tribute and raise awareness. You can support the foundation through the website: www.jackbeasleyfoundation.org

16.01.2022 Facebook's actions to unfriend Australia today, cutting off essential information services on health and emergency services, were as arrogant as they were disap...pointing. I am in regular contact with the leaders of other nations on these issues. These actions will only confirm the concerns that an increasing number of countries are expressing about the behaviour of BigTech companies who think they are bigger than governments and that the rules should not apply to them. They may be changing the world, but that doesn’t mean they run it. We will not be intimidated by BigTech seeking to pressure our Parliament as it votes on our important News Media Bargaining Code. Just as we weren’t intimidated when Amazon threatened to leave the country and when Australia drew other nations together to combat the publishing of terrorist content on social media platforms. I encourage Facebook to constructively work with the Australian Government, as Google recently demonstrated in good faith.

10.01.2022 Lifesavers do great community service in Keppel.

10.01.2022 Breach of bail must be changed. Labor is all talk.
