23.01.2022 Early suggested bet Race 5 no 4 SWEET DEAL @$4.40 The bom is playing tricks again and this rain hasn’t arrived in Sydney and potentially we end up on a soft 6 or soft 5 and that just plays into this girls hands. The $4.40 won’t last long with the trend and map play looking safe. ... Sweet deal looks well placed at the set weights conditions getting in with 55.5kg despite being a 108 rated mare. She was able to win the hunter at the end of her preparation over 1300m which holds her in good stead for a race like this. FU LP she was a winner of the toy show quality over the 1100m in what was a good display of toughness. She is a bombproof fresh mare, gets complete CONTROL over 1400m and if this track isn’t too wet she will start favourite and give a massive kick. Probably got the early price of Icebath a little wrong and looked too much into this Weather map that is false. can still back both and make a small profit but I concede that it was a handcuffs off Wednesday type bet? Adrian.

21.01.2022 SUGGESTED EARLY BET Race 6 no 6 VERRY ELLEEGANT @$2.80 Every horse has a price + this isn’t usually my style but in a Mexican stand off you want to be on the horse who is in front of the other with identical finishing speed + similar stamina? Yes? Yes. ... The 5yo mare lost no admirers FU from a spell in the Apollo stakes when a beaten Fav after doing a little wrong in the gates (missing the start) + over racing in the run and lacking that dash over 1400m with the wrong shape and set up. She was still able to run home in 11.57 for her final 200m (0.02 off Collette) and record the 2nd fastest last 600m behind winner Colette who she meets again. She gets here SU with added fitness, and the step to the mile is what she is looking for. I concede this race lacks speed and these little sit sprint boat races are not her style but she finds a WFA group 1 with Colette as her danger and that mare will have to give her a start (8) unless Rachel king rolls the dice. She is a reliable, Randwick wet track type who lands in the correct spot this week and looks awfully hard to hold out. She is a star mare who has returned a big, strong girl this time in and I expect her to shine on a Saturday.

21.01.2022 SUGGESTED EARLY BET - CAPTIVANT $3.80 SKYLINE STAKES - (All in) - note if he doesn’t accept you won’t get a refund. Article below + all reports + a few stable whispers are all Suggesting he is lining up. https://www.google.com.au//marquand-to-test-cap/664404/amp... Putting an early marker down on the Snowden colt in the skyline stakes for Saturday and there is also a further ? On whether Waller sends Shaquero here who is the $3 fav off a below average MM mark which I’m happy to oppose + Forbes is nominated for a few easier options and if they don’t accept we could be left with a thin race and the $3.80 all in will be locked away. The Snowden trained colt was incredible on debut in the Victory Vein plate putting a very good field to the sword to score by 1.8L ripping away late. SU he was Just in the wrong spot when dragged back to last before having to make a long sustained run on a day where it was hard to make ground. Put a pen through that run and take him on his prior rating which wins here. He has been given 2x trials over 735m and 1050m where he has looked outstanding travelling on top of the speed and racing away from his opposition - his latest margin 3.3L when the blinkers were applied. He is adaptable on all conditions, they have booked TOM MARQUAND (Aussie Tom) which signals intent from the stable, and the step to the 1200m is only beneficial for him being a big, strong colt.

15.01.2022 EARLY PLAY RACE 8 no 13 SKYLAB @$5.00 Looks a race between the two progressive stayers at the bottom end of the weights and I’ll go with the horse who has the potential to improve 3-4L, lands in the right spot and won so well off a bad set up LTO. ... Skylab from the Perry yard is on the upward spiral and he defied the 1350m - 1600m, month between runs, 64 grade to 78 grade and a steady tempo last rails run to swoop and win in what was such a big win. He was able to run the fastest 600,400,200m of the race including the 3rd fastest 200m of the entire meeting in what was a rapid sprint. He peaks here TU from a spell, gets to 2000m and the 52kg on his back looks the correct set up. He is unbeaten on wet tracks, Robbie Dolan sticks with him and I expect him to be too strong late. There is no knock on the fav Great House apart from the price and the fact that the race was set up for him (strong tempo 2000m) vs where is the upside steady tempo 2000m? 2.40? Waller wide draw? Stamina test or rapid burst?

03.01.2022 Suggested bet - Race 5 no 7 ICEBATH @$4.00 Funstar goes to the Norton? Ecosystems get a $20 million boost? Icebath get a wet track . Hard to miss the FU run of icebath in the TRISCAY stakes over 1200m and she has returned a more furnished, proper mare who is now ready to show us what she can really do. Fu she was big in condition when presenting 80% pre race before blowing out late when beaten 1.7L behind Tailleur and Tricky gal in what was a very good effort. ... She gets here with added fitness SU from a spell and steps to the 1400m (4:1:2:1) where she is so dynamic. She gets a 4kg swing on tricky gal for a 1L margin + added fitness and a map advantage which all points to her turning the tables on that mare. She loves Randwick and gets a much needed wet track (7:2:3:1) where she grows another leg + runs all her peak ratings. Tom sherry sticks with the mare, the race shape looks acceptable and she will take a power of beating in what is now a very thin race.
