25.01.2022 So the dust has settled, and what can I say it’s shit to loose but that’s boxing. All I can say is thankyou to everyone who supported me friends family ect who sent kind words. I trained my ass off and had felt the best I possibly ever had, I was confident and ready, I just unfortunately got caught. It is what is there’s no use crying over spilt milk on to bigger and better things new ventures and journeys. Thankyou once again to everyone who sent kind words of support, I w...ill get back in touch you all slowly I’m blessed to have so many people care enough about me to get in touch. Most of all thankyou to my dad, Bobby Farquhar he has been training me since I was three and boxing since I was 11. He spent everyday in the gym with me sometimes 3 never had day off always pushing me helping me reach my goals. We’ve had our ups and downs in and out of the ring, he’s watched me dance and be my best in the ring and watched me cop some floggings I’m blessed to have him by my side now and hopefully many more year to come. Can’t wait for what new journeys await us both. See more

04.01.2022 NEWS RELEASE SMOKY AIR WEATHER CONDITIONS FORCE CHANGE OF VENUE FOR THE Worlds Collide - Anthony Mundine vs John Wayne Parr FIGHT ON THE GOLD COAST INTRO:... Dangerous weather conditions have forced, DDP Sports Management, the promoters of the Anthony Mundine - John Wayne Parr fight on the Gold Coast to change venues. The Worlds Collide fight card was to be held at Cbus Super Stadium but it’s now been relocated to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Bank next Saturday night. The major reason for the change is the prevailing air pollution stemming from the bush fires across northern NSW and south-east Qld. We’ve made a call to switch venues to ensure the safety of the boxers and the attending fans, promoter Steve Wijangco said. We have 10 fights so that means some fans will be sitting in the smokey air for more than six hours and all the boxers will struggle to breath with all the muck in the air. It’s the smart decision to move to a venue with in an air-conditioned controlled environment and now everyone can safely enjoy what’s going to be a quality fight card headlined by a blockbuster clash between two great fighters. We can’t leave the quality of this event left to chance and the repercussions of people and children with Asthma sitting in the polluted open air for more than 6 hours. Wijangco has heeded the advice from the Bureau of Meteorology for people to stay indoors because of the air pollution from bushfires. "So that's what we've done - headed indoors," he said. Mundine has welcomed the move. "I can smell the smoke everywhere I go across the Gold Coast so I fully support the move, Mundine said. It’s all about duty of care for all concerned; well done to Steve for making the call. When advised of the move, Jarrod Wallace made comment that it feels like you’ve smoked a pack of cigarettes after training sessions in open air. Wijangco added the BOM had also forecast the possibility of storms next weekend and that added more weight to his decision. I’d like to thank Kristian Blundell and his Cbus Super Stadium Management team for their tireless effort in putting together the show and their understanding and allowing us to switch to the BCEC. We hope to work together on a stadium event in the future. BCEC also have been very helpful and welcoming at such short notice. DDP Sports Management tried to keep the event down the Gold Coast and had a meeting with the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and unfortunately a room was not available for the scheduled date of Saturday, November 30th. It was either a date change that we were not willing to move, or the risk of having everyone sit in smoky air for 6 hours, that we were not prepared to take the risk on such a major show. Only suitable, indoor and available venue was the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and we have decided it is the safest and smartest move for everyone. We are working with the wonderful team at Ticketek Australia & Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on the smooth transition of tickets purchased for Cbus Super Stadium to be scanned and used for the new venue, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Bank.
