The day will feature sessions including a masterclass, reed workshop (with the chance to take home a new reed), audition preparation, techniques of playing, and of course a massed double reed ensemble! 18.01.2022 With great sadness we announce the passing of ADRS Honorary Member John Cran at 92 years of age. As the Principal Bassoon of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and t...eacher he had a very large influence on double reed playing in Australia. Our thoughts are with Lucinda Cran and family. Please post any photos or thoughts about John to celebrate this wonderful musician and human. See more

Register online at https://www.adrs.org.au/conference-/register-for-conference Don't forget to submit your entry (video) for the Online Competition, open to oboe and bassoon players of all ages and skill levels! Entries are due by Wednesday 9th September, 5pm AEST. Whilst you are there, don't forget to join us in the inaugural 'ADRS Virtual Double Reed Big Bang', with a recorded compilation performance of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody to mark the end of the conference!
