The power in influencer marketing is engaging with their fans who have trust in their opinions. When we see two influencers promoting the same product, in the same way - within moments of each - ad it loses all credibility... 3) yikes! Leaving all that bad feedback visible to other readers. Is no one monitoring the ad now its live? This company is now paying to reach audiences and have them read bad reviews. Respond! Hide them! Delete the ad! Oh my goodness do something! Tsk tsk tsk on this social media marketer! Smile Direct needs to stop this campaign immediately - the agency theyve engaged is doing major damage to the brand!

She receives a notification on Facebook that her friends just had a baby. Sue switches apps to congratulate her friend when an ad for a weekend stay at a city hotel pops up in her feed. Instagram told Facebook, Sue is searching for hotels so she was targeted by a paid ad campaign. Sue tags her husband on the ad! The hotel is clever so they have a ‘chat tool’ connected to the post/ad - the tool, likes Sue’s comment and replies to her comment asking her to check her messages for details on a special offer. Sue clicks into Messenger where she starts chatting with the hotel to ask dates for availability, receives recommendations on activities to enjoy during her upcoming stay and opts-in to receive their digital newsletter. the newsletter is sent via Facebook so Sue was happy to subscribe as she didn’t need to part with her email address! Sue is still waiting for her husband to respond so she holds back on booking. The next day Sue received a message from the hotel asking if there was anything more that could be shared so assist her in deciding to book. Sue was ready then so she reserved dates, paid securely and even shared the deal with friends - all within #Messenger. responses are pre-programmed as the marketing/hotel staff are busy tending to other tasks.. they’re confident the automation #technology will understand Sue’s questions and if not - they’ll receive a ping to tell them Sue needs help! Sue was happy as her enquiries were responded to immediately & privately The #hotel received a booking without needing human intervention Win! Win! 08.01.2022 Have you noticed a drop in engagement on your #Facebook posts this past week? This is more than likely the result of the removal of the public like counting view. Dont fret, this doesnt mean your #content is no longer being seen! Following on from recent testing on Instagram, Facebook has now removed like and reach metrics from a users feed in an effort to transition a vanity #mindset to one where all users feel comfortable sharing and engaging with content.... Facebooks goal is to make people at ease expressing themselves. It wants users to focus on the quality of what they share and how it connects them with people they care about, not just the number of #people who hit the thumbs-up. I dont personally believe this change will have a negative impact for brands. As Ive always said likes wont put money in the bank, relationships will and this change places a stronger precedent on the importance of having a #social strategy that delivers two-way value.
