22.01.2022 I feel this so deeply, and it is why I would travel to the ends of the earth for an Adstaff baby if they needed us !

21.01.2022 Dog owners are being warned over an outbreak of the deadly parvovirus across Adelaide's northern and western suburbs. #9News | http://Nine.com.au

21.01.2022 Vaccinate your pets people, it's not that hard! And if you have a young puppy or an elderly dog, please don't take them to public parks where lots of dogs are walked and roam.

21.01.2022 Feeling pretty excited about our recent Whippet litter of 9, with the results coming from Crufts this morning ! The Reserve in Group is 1/2 sister to the dog we used (same dam), he also qualified for Crufts before being imported to Australia, and his father won BOB there twice. Think we may have a theme for the litter ;)... We would like to thank Kerrie McMahon for turning herself into a pretzel to ensure that this litter happened, going above and beyond to make a 15 yo boy's dream a reality, and for her continued interest in our puppies ! <3

18.01.2022 Following on from our recent "buyer beware" post - we thought we'd tackle the popular phrases "teacup" and "rare blue". Firstly let's talk about "teacup". Ther...e is no such thing as "teacup" anything - unless it's something you dangle your Liptons teabag in! If a breeder is advertising their pups as "teacups"....run (don't walk!) away! They are not reputable. Many backyard Breeders have repeatedly bred with the smallest in the litter in order to (often to the detriment of good health) bring the size smaller & smaller. This is not someone you want to be dealing with. You could end up with big vet fees for eye, bone & skeletal problems. Now let's talk about "rare blue". Some breeds have blue as an acceptable colour. Some other breeds (Shelties for example) have blue Merle which is a bit different - and again completely allowable. However recently "blue" has become synonymous with several breeds - French & British Bulldogs and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Some "rare colours" that are advertised are not allowed or registrable in many breeds. The "blue" colour is now the most registered colour in Staffordshire Bull Terriers. So don't be fooled into paying more than you should for "rare blue". Blue can (in some breeds) cause health issues. It's imperative you do your homework before buying a puppy. The breed specific websites have some great information and references for various health issues that breeds should be screening for. You'd research a car before you buy it - you should research your puppy, that will hopefully be part of your family twice as long as the car, equally as thoroughly! A reputable Breeder will always tell you the important health improvements they are trying to make with their breeding before they'll talk about colour. Colour should never be a selling point. In conclusion - health & temperament should come before everything else. The breed standards are available for everyone to read. Speak to lots of Breeders before you settle on one. Know that you might have to wait for your perfect pet - but it's worth it! http://ankc.org.au/Breed/Index

15.01.2022 Please take care. There is a parvo outbreak. In many places along the eastern side of Australia. I just heard a very sad story about 2 completely unrelated pups who'd had two of their three vaccinations. Sadly, neither survived. PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE. Wagga Wagga very bad atm. Brisbane pound seeing multiple cases and two puppies I mentioned were Tamworth. Information came from a Brisbane pound staff member. X
