20.01.2022 LOVE!!! Take a class with the Australian Ballet Centre Studios... in your own home! With The Australian Ballet Centre closed and their Studios classes temporarily postponed, they’re introducing a new way to join their adult ballet classes. At Home With Studios gives you the opportunity to learn ballet for free - wherever you are. A gift from the national ballet company to all Australians. Everyone is welcome, so no matter if you have two left feet or feel at home at the ba...rre, they'll have you on your way to performing the perfect pirouette in no time. Three levels are available; Beginner for those who want to learn the ballet basics, Intermediate with a focus on technique and Advanced for their loyal bunheads. Each class is 30-40 minutes long with most of the lesson spent at the barre (or bench, table or chair!). New classes will be released each Thursday for the next three weeks.

19.01.2022 Over the last few weeks I have been quietly organising the ABB Matchbox Studio. It has been quite an undertaking. Now we are ready to Zoom. Starting Tuesday 25th August we will be running our first classes. Tuesday 7.00 - 8.00pm for the keen inexperienced dancer. If you love to move and would like to know more about ballet this would be the class for you. Thursday 7.00 - 8.00pm for the more experienced and advanced dancers.... So do email [email protected] or phone 0432 784 312 to book your place. On with the dance - unconfined.

14.01.2022 IMPORTANT EDIT: Classes will resume Tuesday 28th July not Tuesday 21st July as previously stated. We can't wait to re-open next week (Tuesday 28th July) to offer adult ballet classes once again at the Potato Shed. At this stage we will be running two classes on Tuesday evenings: 6.15pm - 7.15pm: Less experienced dancers... 7.30pm - 9pm: More experienced dancers Due to COVID-19 our class sizes will be smaller, so if you haven't done so already please register via email: [email protected] or send us a PM. Based on the government’s advice and guidelines, we have made some changes so we can continue to operate and ensure everyone feels safe at the studio, including: - increased sanitising and cleaning of surfaces - providing hand sanitiser to use before, during and after class - smaller class sizes - 15 minute buffer time in between classes to clean and sanitise and reduce the number of people gathering in the one area

13.01.2022 Hello everyone, To date I have not had any news from The Potato Shed as to when we will be returning to the studio. However never fear the classes will be continue on Zoom. Classes start Tuesday 29th September and Thursday 1st October until 22nd October. Cost for the four classes is $40. It has been lovely working with all of you that joined our first lot of Zoom classes and I extend a warm invitation for all of ou...r other regular dancers to join us. It may not be as good as the studio but we are dancing and enjoying the contact with other dancers. Tuesday 7.00 - 8.00pm is for the keen inexperienced dancer. 11.01.2022 Hello everyone, Once again we are having to lock-down due to the increasing spread of COVID-19, for this reason the Adult Ballet Bellarine classes will not continue at the Potato Shed until we have the ‘all clear’ from the State Government and the City of Greater Geelong. Yes it is a pity, but very necessary. However we will keep dancing. Today I started making arrangements to set up classes on Zoom and now extend an invitation to all our dancers to join the Zoom classes when... I have them organised. It should not take too long. I will send out times, days, cost and all other information as soon as I can understand it all and work the program myself. In the mean time give some thought how you would like to be involved. i.e. one class per week or perhaps two hour sessions per week. I am also open to any suggestions you may have. By passing on your thoughts about this It will assist with me making plans. I do not look at this change as a compromise, but rather as a new challenge to keep on enjoying and discovering the magic of dance and movement. Loved meeting some of the extras to class. We had a gorgeous cat join us on Thursday and my Bess just has to come in because she loves the music. By the way Bess is my 11 year old black labrador . I wonder who may be an extra in the classes this week.......
