ATCWA are following the guidelines for residential care as set out by the Australian Government Department of Health in consultation with the other Residential Rehabilitation Drug and Alcohol facilities. We have further updated reports from peak bodies such as Western Australian Network of Alcohol & Other Drug Agencies (WANADA). Thes...e agencies keep us well-informed of the latest procedures and best practises in dealing with COVID-19. 09.01.2022 I was lost in drug abuse and addiction for 25 years. I had lost everything including my children. The man I dearly loved died of an overdose and I was completely broken. I came to Adult & Teen Challenge at the start of 2018 and my life began to change. It was hard at the start of the program, but I stuck with it. After completing the program my son came back to live with me and I’m the ladies program manager right now. ... Life can change and addiction can be broken. Thank you ATCWA for helping me change my life.

09.01.2022 With the heaviness that is being felt with the coronavirus pandemic, we have come up with some activities to keep our students spirits up. Here are some of them competing in a table tennis tournament. Congratulations to our champion Nathan!

07.01.2022 I was born in 2002 and grew up in NSW then moved to Western Australia at the beginning of 2016. Although I loved my rugby and athletics I got into trouble with the law by hurting other people, using drugs, selling drugs and general underworld behaviour which no young person should be experiencing and I lost my family because of it. I was in and out of the justice system and then I realised this could be my life for ever. In November 2019 after much consideration I realised ...I need help from Jesus and entered Teen Challenge. It wasn’t easy, and meant massive changes in my life but by the grace of God he renewed my mind and set captive free and broke strong holds in my life which was a hard and emotional journey. I was baptised on the 15th March 2020 and till this day I enjoy my faith, being clean and living a good godly life. I’m currently doing an internship at TC and getting my life on track including an education and employment. This program has rejoined me and my family together and set me up for life. 03.01.2022 I came to Adult & Teen Challenge on the 14th of March 2018. I was physically, mentally and emotionally broken. I came to get help for my heroin addiction that stole 15 yrs of my life. At times it was tough, but I pushed through and completed the program. I now am a mentor and working at Adult & Teen Challenge helping others break the cycle of addiction. I have also completed a Diploma in Youth Work. I am forever grateful to the Adult & Teen Challenge program for changing m...y life and giving me hope for the future. Bill

03.01.2022 I came to ATCWA in February 2018 to get help for my debilitating addiction to alcohol. I previously held important positions within state government departments, which involved highest levels of accuracy and consistency. I used alcohol to bring me fortitude and help keep me calm and ordered, eventually I had to be medicated to deal with the ever increasing stress and anxiety. ... Neither the alcohol or the medication worked, and I attempted to take my life on several occasions. It all eventually caught up with me and I lost my job, family, health and worst of all, hope of a better future. In 2019 I finished the program and stayed on as a volunteer to help others with the same issues that I faced. I have had my memory healed and restored, the anxiety that plagued me for more than half my life is gone, I take less than a quarter of the medication I used to, my family relationships are healed and most of all I have inner peace, confidence and hope for the future. My life has changed, so can yours.
