08.01.2022 Ok...Had 2 common rail diesels in for a intake/EGR clean same day last week. The results are amazing and absolutely needed for both these cars. Late model KUN Hilux and Mitsubishi Triton. 07.01.2022 Photo stolen from another fb page but Ive seen this done before...(not by me but!). Anyone want to have a crack at what the problem is and what has happened under brakes?

05.01.2022 So had a very ordinary day. Items to be repaired on the Safety Certificate include leaking rocker gasket and diff pinion seal. Customer returns vehicle for re-inspection but with engine and diff still covered in oil? Bolts also look very much like they havent seen a spanner in years? Do I pass this vehicle???? No I didnt.... So Im now apparently going to hear from a solicitor lol. Sorry to say but fixing cars is easy....some customers are not....

05.01.2022 Another interesting one today...Patrol Y61 wagon overheating and suffering from poor water flow in the cooling system. After checking at all the common causes we decided to take the water pump off for inspection. Ive only seen this 2 or 3 times before in my 25 years but the corroded fins on a otherwise healthy pump were the cause...

03.01.2022 There is some serious chat out there about Electric Cars and plenty of Govts including our own have jumped with both feet on the band wagon thinking these vehic...les are going to transform their environmental policies and go a long way to fix the "global warming" and CO2 emissions issues around the world. My opinion is that there are a lot of people who want to believe this but really have not done all the homework to understand the positives and negatives in a truely accurate and properly informed way. Simply putting an electric car on the road does not mean you are instantly saving the planet, it is far more complicated and the attached article that was in this months NZ Classic Driver Magazine does a fantastic job of providing a very good and simple explanation of the environmental costs of the production of an electric vehicle. Electricity in NZ is also not in plentiful supply being predominantly Renewable, so have think about what kind of pressure will be put on our Power Grid if thousands more electric cars are put on our roads? Cant imagine the power companies are going to maintain or reduce the cost of power to users in NZ?? With the efficiency of Combustion Engines only getting better, it is very hard to see how real cars wont be around for ever. Proper analysis needs to be done by Govts and Councils before investing too much into something that they may find out to be making the problem worse than they think. See more

01.01.2022 To all my customers and friends, hope you have a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2020.
