25.01.2022 Business NOT as usual. Just a quick update on how we are going with the recently announced stage 4 restrictions here in Victoria Australia. On Sunday 2/8/20 the Government made the announcement about the tougher restrictions and flagging that there are widespread restrictions to be in place for the next 6 weeks.... Not just everyday life but also the construction industry has now been severely affected. Our heart goes out to industries that had to fully shut shop and are not able to keep going as a result of it. At this stage we find it more important than ever to keep our employees updated on the ever changing landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having spent a large amount of time over the past few days working out how to proceed and be compliant, I wanted to share here how we went about it. I found the following resources helpful: Covid-Safe-Plan template: https://www.business.vic.gov.au//COVID-Safe-Plan-template. Permitted Worker Scheme - COVID-19 info and permit template download: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/permitted-worker-scheme-covid-19 Electronic signing of the Permit forms: https://dochub.com/ (been using this for some time now to create electronic signing requests in our workflow. Creating an online log for all employees to sign in and record their project’s location: I have never used the google forms tool before but worked it out pretty quickly on the fly. Can be customized a lot. I have created this simplified template here: https://forms.gle/LTzx6jGaWD4T5uva8 for a start. The information from there is then updated automatically into a spreadsheet that all AMC employees have access to if need be. If we all chip in and help each other during these tough times it makes us stronger. I would like to thank our amazing clients for all the work that they have put in behind the scenes to keep us going. Work will slow down but it has not fully stopped us.
