Find a good mentor. Someone you can consult with and get feedbacks from. Dont get hung up on brands, just because youre interviewing for a well known company it doesnt mind that youre set for life. Youre always needing someone you can rely on for that career advice. Look beyond your degree. Just because you completed a Degree in A, it doesnt mean youll end up in an A job. You might end up in a D job or F job - the options are endless. Be open to opportunities and you just never know what the future holds! Stay Humble whilst Being Confident. We get so many supposedly creative CVs using 5 different fonts and all the colours of the rainbow. Stop. It looks stupid. The golden CV rule is to keep to one easy-to-read font like Calibri, Arial or Times New Roman and to keep the font black and the colours, if applicable, extremely minimal. Always avoid hard-to-read fonts like Blackadder ITC or downright ugly fonts like Comic Sans. Reducing the size to 8, indicates that your CV is too busy. Maximise your chances to having your resume read for more than 5 seconds by having a well constructed resume in a logical order, in a legible font with good grammar and English.
