20.01.2022 Many prayer warriors from our school and church communities have been praying for Eloise Auld, a student at Carmel Adventist College Secondary who had a terrible bicycle accident last term. The outcome of her injuries meant that her family was told to expect the worse and anything better would be a miracle. It is with great joy that we share this update from Eloises mother regarding her current condition... Eloise is now walking with assistance, talking a little and is now e...ating certain foods by herself. She is no longer reliant on any tubes or ventilators to keep her alive. Her rehab team are working hard to help her brain re-wire itself and Eloise is determined to recover as best she can. She is still quite confused and has lots of healing to take place, but everyone in the hospital is pleased with her recovery progress to date. Please continue to pray for Eloise and her family throughout this challenging time. We PRAISE GOD for the miracles Eloise has already experienced and we continue to pray for her in this recovery phase. Today, we give thanks for the Lord is good! #ACSWA100DaysOfPrayer #Day37

19.01.2022 Adventist Education WA enjoyed the honour of attending the 27th Annual Governors Prayer Breakfast with representatives from Landsdale Christian School, Carmel Adventist College Secondary and Adventists Western Australia conference staff. Last Friday morning we joined together in unity with other community leaders in Perth to acknowledge Gods values and call on His name. Governor of Western Australia, The Hon. Kim Beazley, AC encouraged attendees to make prayer a priority. He reminded us that, in the digital era, real connectedness and real relationship only comes when we give of our time, skills and care to others.

12.01.2022 Adventist Schools Australia (ASA) is continuing to closely monitor the advice of government and health authorities in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, with schools to remain open at this stage. While some are calling for the closure of schools due to the outbreak, we are following the recommendations of the Prime Minister and state leaders who have made it clear that, on the basis of expert medical advice, schools should remain open at this time, ASA directo...r Dr Daryl Murdoch said. However, if the government does decide to close the nations schools, the Adventist education system will be well prepared, with Conference education leaders putting the necessary management plans in place. Our schools are preparing to provide innovative learning opportunities to ensure that students learning outcomes are effectively supported, Dr Murdoch said. The majority of school families value that our schools remain open as parents maintain their ability to work and in many instances provide essential services such as health care. Our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of our students and staff. Adventist Schools Australia in consultation with Conference education leaders will continue to seek advice and act in the best interests of the communities we serve.

05.01.2022 Yesterday was #WorldMentalHealthDay and the focus this year is on suicide prevention. Did you know, suicide is the leading cause of death among young Australians!? About 350 young people aged 1524 take their own lives every year. For every youth suicide, there are 100 to 200 more attempts. Please join us this week as we pray for the wellbeing of our students and youth in Western Australia. Helping young people feel safe, supported and part of the community are all important... ways to protect them from suicide.
