25.01.2022 Today dear friends we remember Jesus. He has been through the terrible experience of the cross. The cross was saved especially for slaves and for those who you wanted to degrade in death. He has faced it all. For us, he has taken on himself the sum total of the sins of humanity so that NO ONE will be left out of the gift of eternal life. And now, behind that stone, it looks like nothing is happening. But it is. Hebrews 2:14-15 tells us: 14 Because God’s children are human b...eingsmade of flesh and bloodthe Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. 15 Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. And so today, as we rest in his undying love for us, take comfort in the promise that Christ has broken the power of the devil and the power of death and fear in our lives. Has reading these verses given you insight into our much Jesus loves us? Comment below and let's encourage each other. Love Helen See more

13.01.2022 Do you follow Claire Crosby? She has been singing since she was 3 and is now 7. Enjoy the sound of a child praising the name of Jesus.

10.01.2022 Good morning sweet friends! Today we are reading 1 John 3:1-3. 3 See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognise that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. 2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 3 And all wh...o have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. Darling ones, so often we identify with something in this world, and there is nothing wrong with that. It might be family or a denomination or a place of employment or a career field or a charity. All of these things are part of our lives but our reading this morning is calling to us to remember our true identity. We are children of God before anything else. In fact as the reading concludes, if what we tag on to that doesn’t line up with being a child of God, then the tag has to leave our lives. For we can allow nothing to steal away our identity. I love leaning into truth like this because it provides a compass for my life .Do you feel the same? Love Helen

05.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 virus, we have had to cancel our RENEW conference. Keep safe everyone.

04.01.2022 Tonight I am making soup for tea and I wanted something to go with it. How does Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler sound? I'm so keen to try it and to follow the recommendation of the author to try fresh peaches. It's easy and gluten free. You can also try other fruits as well. Find the recipe here: https://foodwithfeeling.com/old-fashioned-peach-cobbler/

03.01.2022 Good morning friends! Many of us have difficult people in our lives and their presence is valuable to us despite this. We want to be in relationship with them but navigating how to deal with them is often hard. Here are four ways that we can embrace that will help. 1. Love them. Choose love intentionally. This is found in John 3:16, where God chooses to love this world. In essence, God is telling us, Regardless of what they say, what they do, how you feel or don’t feel.I w...ant you to love them the way I love you. 2. Do good to them. We are reminded to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." This includes talking about them in a way that won't bring you shame before God. 3. Bless them. This means that each time we think of them, we can pray for them. It also means that we adopt the higher path " that if we can't say something nice, say nothing". What about also telling of the positive things that they do and not just the negative? 4. Pray for them. Do something to irritate the Devil. Intentionally pray for God to love them, heal them and be with them this day. If you would like to read further on this you can find the link here from Flourishing Today. https://flourishingtoday.com/do-you-deal-difficult-people/

03.01.2022 Ladies, I just wanted to share with a spoken word poem that God gifted me with this week. It was a blessing writing/recording it and I pray it's a blessing to you as you watch or read it. THEY STAYED HOME They stayed home that weekend. After their friend, Jesus died... on that cross held high on the hill at Golgotha they ran to their homes and shut their doors on their pain and confusion and loss They stayed home that weekend. And the fear stayed with them. It gnawed at their hearts as the ground shook and the sky turned dark It ate away at their identity, their destiny, their sense of community Who were they, without him? Without the one they’d walked with talked with eaten with argued with Who were they without Jesus? They were men who stayed home that weekend. That’s who they were. After protestations and declarations and manifestations of loyalty and a commitment to fight to the death At the first sign of trouble, they took flight and ran. They ran to their homes To the upper room To Friday night and Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon To locked doors and whispered voices And beating hearts and questioned choices To a mulling over of how it all went wrong and where Back to the beginning tracing the meandering, confusing, confounding path from here to there Sunday morning, the day dawned against their wishes Their grief so great it seeped into the fissures of their hearts and souls until they had nothing left. Defeated, they retreated to their grief. But they weren’t the only ones who ran. Death ran that morning too. And as the Saviour woke from his deathly slumber All heaven rejoiced as the beloved one rose unencumbered from his grave And the demons in hell shivered and shook As the overwhelming love of the Son from above took the sting out of death. The healing, the preaching, the loving, the teaching, the dying and the rising Once and for all, for all of humankind, from the beginning to the end of time We can say with utter confidence, with faith assurance, with irrefutable evidence Oh Death, where is your sting? Yes, the men stayed home that weekend Until that glorious Sunday morning when chains were broken, tombs were opened and words of life were spoken that echo throughout history He is risen! We’re staying home this weekend But Good Friday still brings Easter Sunday And he is still risen. See more

02.01.2022 Good morning sweet friends! Here are today’s promises from the Lord that we are claiming. 3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.... 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10. The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11. Today as we look at these promises of God’s peace in the presence of this world being shaken we are assured that our God stays with us. He tells us even if the mountains are shaken and the hills are removed, yet his unfailing love for each of us will not be removed. The Lord has promised strength and peace for his people. So friends, what does this mean for us? Are you feeling the weight of carrying on at the moment? Trying to balance the finances, lack of work or new working circumstances, children out of their regular routine, mental illness at home, families separated due to quarantine, weddings postponed and loved ones not being present at funerals? More than ever these promises are needed. God knew your today and he knows your tomorrow. So dear friends, write these out, stick them up. Meditate on them and ask the Holy Spirit to embed them deep in your mind. Out of his promises will flow the strength and the peace that we need. What verses are you claiming? Share in the comments below. Love Helen

02.01.2022 Sweet Ladies, I wanted to send my love and appreciation to all the Mums who love this world so lavishly. Surely, you give us an understanding of the patience and kindness of God each day by the multitude of loving acts that you do. For all the Mums who are struggling today because they have not conceived or lost their children, we surround you with our love. Being a mother isn't giving birth. It's loving with a heart of a mother. It takes sacrifice and bravery. For those dau...ghters who have lost their mothers, we comfort you with the promises of Jesus that he truly understands your heartache and longing to hold the hand of the one you love. And for those who are separated relationally, this is a hard day as well. There are no easy answers but prayer to our Heavenly Father helps every problem. Today I want to personally say that I am constantly thankful to walk this journey of my life out with you. You are my heroes. Brave women with strong hearts holding relationships together, families together and church communities together. Have a beautiful day as we honour women everywhere together. Love Helen See more
