15.01.2022 Want to have a sneak peak at our current set up I change our learning environment around very regularly to... Follow the direction of the children, ... Highlight a particular interest or theme to keep the children engaged and excited about day care Spark curiosity and an eagerness to explore new things And to stay in line with my vision of: Enhancing the Awe and Wonder of Childhood through Imaginative Play Our days are FILLED with child led play.... Letting the children gravitate to and choose what they experience each day, Giving them space to investigate, hypothesise and create Setting up opportunities for growth and learning but standing back to see how they engage with the activity Nurturing and growing our own fruits, berries, vegetables and flowers in our garden In 2021 I have 4 beautiful children graduating to Big School, it is bittersweet to say goodbye to such amazing children, but I know they are equipped and ready to step into their next stage This means I will have some rare spaces available for both Preschool and Kindergarten aged children. If you are looking for child care for 2021 and resonate with my approach to Early Learning send me a message to arrange an informal interview Please note, due to limited spots and high demand, the spots will be filled and finalised in the coming weeks, so please get in touch quickly to avoid disappointment and missing out. If you have reached out in the past 6 months and have NOT signed a contract/updated extra days etc please get in touch and express your interest again to be sure to get the day/s you need. Location Launceston close to CBD. Registered with NCN. Please message for specific details.

08.01.2022 I was Soooo blessed (and surprised) to be anonymously nominated for Excellence in Family Day Care Awards last year Unfortunately I didn’t even know I was nominated until the deadline to submit my submission had passed so I missed out getting past nomination stage lol This year with the huge impact coronavirus has had on Family Day Care I know a lot of educators are still feeling a bit deflated, so it’s the perfect time to encourage an educator with a nomination ... Educators pour their lives into caring for children and provide a loving, caring home environment for children to feel safe and secure. If you know a fabulous educator please nominate them It will take no time at all and will let them know you appreciate all their hard work https://www.familydaycare.com.au/promoting-you/awards

04.01.2022 Never underestimate a child’s ability to create and play with open ended resources

04.01.2022 We’ve been looking at all of the Australian Animals in our book Possum and Wattle by Australian Indigenous artist Bronwyn Bancroft. We talked about the Echidna, it’s shape and features including it’s spiked quills and long nose. We then took turns holding some of the spikey elements from our nature table and talked about how they felt in our hands.... Then came the fun part! Experimenting with clay and creating our own Echidnas
