24.01.2022 Don’t let those idyllic social media posts fool you... Instagram: Another stunning day for a paddle. Life is amazing Reality: And when I say paddle I mean....into the wind...crap this is hard...I’m not getting anywhere..ok a bit further..then I’ll have a tail wind..just to that rock...sheesh I’m seriously not moving...paddle hard...I think that rock is moving...fishtail side to side...rest my arms...oh look we are doing circle work...ok must be time for tail wind...weeeee......oh shit, not sideways...straighten up...NOT sideways I said!!!...there’s the shore..not sideways....oh crap I hit a rock...wonder how robust this boat is...ok headed for shore...shore is now full of fishing kayaks ready to launch....look out boys I’m comin in hot....wooosh...like that I’m on shore, hoping they have contained their fish hooks, I’m that close....ok nows the time to extract myself elegantly in front of this audience if at least 10 strapping young German men...get my feet under me...one leg out...yesss I got this! ...nope too unsteady, the boat moves out from under me, and I have no choice but to stop, drop and roll, and sit in the water alongside my boat like that was always the dismount I’d planned.... That was my reality when I bought my first kayak this week...it’s times like these I wish I wasn’t travelling solo so someone could actually video this hilarity!!! 22.01.2022 Just like any adventure, the fun happens when plans go awry. The plan last week for canoeing on the Yarra were scuppered by torrential rain which almost made canoeing down the road possible! So instead our adventure was staying warm and dry and sampling scones whilst planning future adventures! Such exciting times, Im so excited to have had our first Adventure-ish Tribe catchup.
19.01.2022 Adventure need not be long or fast. You can do it where you are with the time you have. Even just a few hours. Theres NO rules for adventure. So what are you waiting for? #MyBodyMyPaceMyAdventure This was the overnight stop on the long drive from Sydney to Melbourne. I mean I could have flown. I could have slept in a motel, or a generic campground, but instead I chose a roadtrip, and sought out a spot where I hoped to get a sunset over the Murray River at Barnawatha. It didn't disappoint...sunset, moon rise, and this one, sunrise!

15.01.2022 This was a quick road trip to Mt Gambier for the day, it was 38 degrees and I needed to stretch the legs, and cool down. Freezing but oh so amazing! Wheres your fave spot to cool down over summer?

Here's 8 of our faves: Pro tip: to keep the costs down even more, pack a picnic, and save your $$ for an icecream! 1. Buy a big floaty toy and use it to float leisurely down a river.
