ALS Geochemistry, located at 14 Desma Court, Bohle, have vacancies for Casual Sample Preparers (full time hours) to perform routine tasks associated with preparing geological samples for analysis. These positions require a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to follow and stick to instructions are vital. The roles involve: * Numerical recognition, verbal and written communication skills * Operation of mineral sample prep equipment (weigh scales, crushers, pulverisers) * Routine manual tasks in a minerals processing environment It is hot, dusty, manual work and you will require work safety boots, current visa and passport and a good level of physical strength and fitness. We are located 12kms from the city. Days of work are Monday to Friday with day shift and afternoon shift operating. Wage rate is $25.02 per hour. 06.01.2022 YOU DEAD SET HAVE TO GET OVER TO MAGGIE WHEN YOU COME THROUGH TOWNSVILLE!!!!!!!! Oh My God, how beautiful is this place! Only a half hour ferry ride from... Townsville, you will find this Amazing place called Magnetic Island! We reckon its one of the prettiest places you will find around OZ. The coastal landscapes are just unbelievable, with huge granite boulders that drop straight into magical blue water. Sandy beaches lined with coconut palms, great pubs, cafes, playgrounds, sunday markets, awesome coffee, fishing, public transport, the list goes on !! We only have one massive issue with Magnetic Island though......... We didnt know how friggin great it was and we only stayed one night.. We could easily do a week. (theres always next time ??) There was so much we missed out on. There are so many bays and beaches to Explore, Great bush walks and wildlife parks to check out. Also some really good history to go and check out with some old Forts from the War. So heres some good info from our visit!! Fantasea Ferry Transfer with the car and the 5 of us $98 each way. ( bloody good value we think) 35 minute ferry ride. Picnic Bay Pub is a fantastic spot for lunch and a beautiful spot to check out. It also has a Jetty which is good fishing as well. Horseshoe Bay has lots of accommodation options and also has markets on Sundays, so check the schedule for them as they are cool! If you love Coffee, Scallywags Cafe at Nelly Bay does a mean brew that will get you talking a million miles an hour and annoying the rest of the family!! We only wish we stayed longer and could tell you more about the place.... MASSIVE HOT TIP!!!!! Dont Skip Magnetic Island on your travels. We have seen lots and lots and lots of great places on our travels, but Maggie as its affectionately known by the locals has blown us away!!!! Get on it, we can guarantee you wont be disappointed. We will cut a quick edit together of our trip to Maggie so keep an eye out for that. Any questions, hit us up????
