24.01.2022 Pizza sauce is a staple here and is next level! I love the @skinnymixer recipe from their website. It makes a large batch, which you can divide and freeze. It's also easy to smuggle in extra veg, great for using up the odds and ends in the crisper or pilfered from the veggie patch and increasing the kids intake. This batch is destined for 2 different dishes, pizzas and skinnymixers hassleback chicken (also on their website). Multitasking, reducing waste and veggie smuggling ...all in one delicious hit . 17.01.2022 Why spend $7 plus on a GF loaf when you can have fresh bread like this!? $5 for 2 loaves and no thickeners, gums, preservatives etc and is dairy, nut, egg and soy free. It freezes beautifully and the toast comes out with the perfect crunch factor that good toast should. At 2 loaves a week, that's $468 a year in savings. What could you do with that? ... 10.01.2022 Sausage and Bacon Casserole. Can I say again how much I appreciate my Thermomix and Cookidoo? When you're scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as ingredients, pop whatever you have into a Cookidoo search and you will have a host of suggestions. I cooked the veg in the varoma while the beans cooked and mashed the potatoes in the bowl afterwards. 09.01.2022 Finally it felt like summer today! So tonight's dinner was perfectly weather appropriate . We had Barbecued Beef with Ssamjang Sauce followed by mango passionfruit ice cream. The beef is from the recent Korean collection on Cookidoo. The kids went back for thirds, which is a good indication if a winning dish! And if course ice cream is always a winner. 05.01.2022 Hasselback Chicken. Remember the pizza sauce I made last week? This is one of the recipes I used it in. The sauce is pretty quick to make and it takes minimal time to bake. I even made a batch of vegan mozzarella for my daughter so she could have the same as us! It was definitely a winner.
