24.01.2022 Adventure Squad holiday Day 5 We spent the morning kayaking and swimming in the unbelievably beautiful Coolongolook River Then lunch on the river bank under the beautiful big old fig tree ... 20.01.2022 Adventure Squad holiday Day 3 We had rain today so a cruisy morning and a quick change of plans for another fun Adventure.... We went to Seal Rocks to check out the light house and surrounds We were gifted with a massive pod of dolphins surfing and having a ball Then out for some lunch and a trip to Forster to get supplies and scope the best beach for swimming tomorrow Then back to the base for some down time and dinner with the Squad Finished off the night with some spot lighting around the lake #liveyourbestlife #liveyourbestlife #adventuresquadrollout

18.01.2022 Adventure Squad holiday Day 2 Iain and I were up early, so it was coffee at the lake Then in to town for a look around.... Quick stop and a walk up to Cape Hawke lookout tower. Mini golf and a crowd favourite bowling (oh i actually beat Iain and Adrian, probably won't happen again so I'm enjoying it while I can ) Back to base for lunch and a swim in the lake/fishing A quick Adventure to Boomerang Beach Iain and Tallara cooked vegetable and mince sauce with spaghetti while we went fishing again. We travelled through some beautiful countryside on the way A short walk along the creek, lunch by the waterfall and a swim Then home to base camp for a hearty home cooked meal and some chill time. 11.01.2022 What amazing experience Adrian and I had today. (Feel good story for your 2020) We were on our walk along the breakwall and first an Eagle swooped down in front of us and caught a massive fish Something you don't get to see often.... Then we saw a wobbegong swimming in the marina, another amazing sight. We then saw a Turtle, we watched it for a few minutes and realised something was wrong. The Turtle was injured. We called Wild life rescue and explained the situation. They asked if we could catch the Turtle and keep it safe until they arrived, as I climbed down the rocks towards the Turtle it watched me calmly and seemingly knowing I was there to help. I climbed into the water and pick the Turtle up and brought it back to the breakwall with Adrian, we carried it back along the breakwall, stopping along the way to keep from causing to much stress for the Turtle, Adrian kindly poured his water from his bottle gently over the Turtle to help it keep cool. Another awesome guy then took the bottle to refill with sea water to help us keep on cooling the Turtle ,a beautiful moment of community support for Adrian to witness. We called the amazing team from wild life rescue to see how long they would be and then carried the Turtle to meet them. They asked if we would like to name the Turtle and Adrian choose Geoff. We were told that when Geoff is able to be returned to ocean we could be there to release him/her. 06.01.2022 Adventure Squad holiday Day 6 Started with our customary coffee on the lake Then brunch at The Deck cafe ... 03.01.2022 We finished of the weekend with an awesome experience. We are now bonified Marine animal Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release volunteers! We can now be involved in rescues and rehabilitation of marine wildlife on the Coffs Coast.... It was an amazing experience to learn about and get up close to some of the rescued animals.
