09.01.2022 The scarcity of independent reporting coming out of Tigray during this conflict was already deeply alarming. Now, the Ethiopian military’s arrests of journalists and media workers will undoubtedly lead to fear and self-censorship, said CPJ Africa - Committee to Protect Journalists sub-Saharan Africa representative, Muthoki Mumo. Ethiopian authorities should release these journalists and media workers immediately and provide guarantees that the press can cover the conflict in Tigray without intimidation.
05.01.2022 Do you live in, or have you recently visited, Werribee, Tarneit, or Hoppers Crossing? Viral fragments of COVID-19 have been detected in local wastewater. If you... live in or have visited these areas from 23 February 2021 and have any symptoms, please get tested. Stay home until you have your result. People who have or have recently had COVID-19 may shed fragments of the virus. These fragments can enter wastewater through toilet bowls, sinks and drains. This viral shedding may come from different sources such as used tissues, off hands and skin, or in stools. This may last beyond a person’s infectious period. Want to know more about wastewater testing? Visit: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/wastewater-monitoring-covid-19
