20.01.2022 Hi everyone - just an update on the Australind Train service, please see the following for details Australind disruption ... Australind train services between Bunbury Passenger Terminal and Perth Station have been taken out of service for repairs. The Australind has been replaced by two accessible Transwa road coaches, one of which will run between Bunbury and Perth, with a stop at Kwinana Station (Monday to Friday, morning service only). The other will depart daily at the standard times based on the Australind timetable to service the communities along the Australind route. A range of initiatives will be offered to passengers for the inconvenience, including: As of Monday 30 November, fares will be discounted by 75 percent for all Australind passengers whilst repairs are undertaken, to receive this discount you can simply book online and the discount will be applied automatically; Frequent passengers, who have travelled on the Australind three or more times between 1 July and November 2020 will receive 10 free trips, if you're eligible we will be in touch with you to advise you once they have been applied to your account, and how to access them each time you book; The Bunbury to Perth limited stop replacement road coach will stop at Kwinana Station to allow passengers to transfer to the Transperth network if they choose to, you will be able to travel on Transperth trains for free with your Transwa ticket. To access this service, simply book a ticket onto your Australind service as normal, then when you arrive at the station to catch your replacement road coach staff will direct you to the coach. Note that this option only operations Monday to Friday, morning service only, departing Bunbury at 6.00am arriving at Kwinana Station at approximately 8.00am. When returning to Bunbury, just catch a replacement road coach as normal from Wellington Street, outside Perth Station. Speak to our friendly staff on the ground if you need assistance; and Free newspapers and refreshments for morning Bunbury to Perth passengers. This disruption is expected to be in place until January 2021. For more information regarding the Australind service, click here to see the media statement.
