21.01.2022 Why is this service important to Jo Bacon, Director and Founder of Advocate for Me? This service is the result of a culmination of life experiences. My professional experience as a dedicated classroom teacher, and then more recently, over 10 years working with children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families is one of my sources of inspiration. I can humbly say whilst my university degree and post-graduate studies have given me my foundation, it's been... through my daily work and connection with children, families and other professionals I have continued to learn and feel strongly about sharing my knowledge, skills, and strategies. To advocate for the opportunity for all children to thrive; living their best life surrounded by family members who feel supported, empowered and fully included in the community.
