24.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that the Council has decided that the Annandale Community Centre is costing them too much money and not viable for the council to maintain. There was no consultation with the community that I am aware of. So after teaching in the hall at Annandale for 20 years, we will be moving to the Wulguru Community Centre , Edison st Wulguru. So sorry for such short notice! I was not given a lot of notice either. Last class at Annandale is Thursday the 29th O...ctober. First class at Wulguru is the Wednesday 4th November! At this stage only one class a week on Wednesdays, as I look into further opportunities and venues for next year! Class time is also different 4.45pm to 6.45pm I know this will be difficult for some people who used to walk to class. It is not that far in reality from where we are now. It has been a tough year for everyone, full of changes and challenges! See you at class! Master Denise

10.01.2022 Hello everyone the last class for the year will be the 9th of December Wednesday 4.45 pm through until 6.45pm. Starting again next year January 27 4.45pm until 6.45pm. It has been a challenging year to say the least! I would like to thank everyone for their commitment to training and following to the new training venue at Wulguru. Change can be good. I am sorry for the change in venue but there was no other choice. It is actually a bigger hall and better for training! Taekwondo Seminar in Innisfail Saturday 9th January 2021 at 10am at East Innisfail State School Multipurpose building. Seminar Instructor:- Maddy Houston. Hosted by Tait's Family Martial Arts. Maddy Houston has been training for 18 years (19 years in Feb), and has trained under Master Damien O’Flaherty, and is currently 5th Dan Bo. She is a Head Instructor of Factor10 Martial Arts in Brisbane, the Chairperson of the Australian Taekwondo Queensland Poomsae Performance & Judging Committee, and an Australian Taekwondo Poomsae Referee. She has been competing for 16 years, where she has been on the state team since 2005, and has won multiple national championships across individual poomsae, team poomsae & freestyle poomsae (along with many other coloured medals). She is a commonwealth bronze medalist in team poomsae (2014 commonwealth championships) and competed at the 2016 World Championships for freestyle. She made a few other Australian teams between 2014-2019 and has been fortunate to compete in a few different countries. Outside of Taekwondo she has a Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science, Graduate Certificate of High Performance Sport and is currently completing a Master of High Performance Sport.
