25.01.2022 ...and the album is officially launched! Whilst you enjoy Part IIII of the chats by Corrina Bonshek and our Le Grand Fromage, Adrian Head, about the album launch, we would like to thank some people here, who helped to make this three year journey happen for Corrina Bonshek and the Ady Ensemble: Elaine Seeto for the invitation to record, and to 4MBS Classic FM and engineer Richard Grayden for having us at the studio; to PARMA Recordings and Navona Records for producing the alb...um. From us here at the Ady Ensemble, we’d like to thank the members of the Ady Ensemble who performed on the day. Without your playing and wonderful openness to perform two new works by women composers on the day, we wouldn’t have had the confidence to take this next step and submit your performance for commercial release:- Concertmaster Samuel James Tom Riethmuller Greta Kelly Richard Clegg Sarah Trenaman Jorge Al Gindi Helen Carvolth Helen Brereton Kaitlyn Bowen Benjamin Richards Lexi Gorton Cara Taggart Samara Marinelli Josephine Ford Rafael Andrade Naomi Faulkner Chloe Yap Matthew Teakle Sophie Loades Samuel Nock Sophie Collis

24.01.2022 The Ady Ensemble's Le Grande Fromage reflects on today's milestone... "Nine years ago today, Ady had its first performance (although it didn't know it at the time), having started its very first rehearsals at the end of 2010. I can't lie: it has been a very long journey, but also a very rewarding one that has involved a veritable roll call of who's who in Brisbane with regards to ensemble members, composers and soloists. Some have come and gone quickly; some have stayed for a... long time; others have gone away and returned at a later date. All have contributed in their own way to not only helping the ensemble grow musically, but to also help foster a friendly, warm, and supportive environment, that has been a joy to both observe and be a part of. The experience of performing- and often writing- a very diverse range of repertoire has been extremely satisfying, and making that journey with so many wonderful fellow Adyophiles has felt often like a family reunion...the nice kind of family reunions- not the ones that the police end up turning up at! There have been ripples of course- every organisation has them- but good, supportive, people have helped us get to where we needed to get to. For that the ensemble has been very fortunate. Id like to thank all those who have performed with the ensemble over that time, and to the composers, soloists, patrons, and organisations who have supported us over that time. My thanks to each and everyone of you, for without you there would be no heart to Ady.Thank you."

23.01.2022 Two concert anniversaries coming up today and tomorrow.
