At this stage, any person who is currently residing offshore, or in another state of Australia, will not be eligible to apply.... 25.01.2022 Immigration SA has announced state nomination update for Visa subclass 491/190: South Australia is yet to receive our full allocation of nomination places, and is therefore not in a position to open a full Skilled Migration program at this stage. Our interim process will continue until further notice with applicants who meet state nomination requirements encouraged to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Department of Home Affairs SkillSelect system.... After lodgement of your EOI, you may be invited to submit an online application for state nomination. We ask that you review the current state nomination requirements and if you are identified as an applicant who meets the Commonwealth and State Government critical skills, we will send you an invitation to submit an application for state nomination. Applicants living and working in regional South Australia will continue to be prioritised for nomination.

18.01.2022 *South Australia State Nomination Requirement* The Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs has provided a limited number of visa nomination places to the Government of South Australia up until the Federal Budget is delivered on 6 October 2020. Applicants must be currently working in South Australia for at least the last THREE MONTHS in their nominated or closely related occupation, for at least 20 hours per week or 40 hours per fortnight. International graduates of South Aust...ralian education institutions who have completed a PhD or Masters by Research do not have to meet the work experience requirement. SA has also issued preferred nomination requirement which will increase chances of nomination approval: 1. Applicants with Proficient English overall or higher 2. Applicants with at least 90 Points in your Expression of Interest (including state-nomination points) 3. Applicants who are currently working in South Australia for at least the last 12 months in their nominated or closely related occupation and claiming Points for Australian work experience 4. 16.01.2022 Update From Immigration SA received today regarding state nomination: "South Australia's expanded skilled migration program opened on 8 February 2021 and we have commenced nominating applicants. You may have noticed some occupations are currently not displaying on the occupation list. These high-demand occupations and their requirements are in the process of being reviewed, and will be updated on our website soon.... Thank you for your continued interest and support in South Australia's migration program."



16.01.2022 **Victoria's 2020-21 skilled visa nomination program (subclass 190 and 491)** Victoria will be opening 2020-21 Victorian skilled visa nomination program (subclass 190 and 491) on Tuesday 8 September, 2020. Victoria will initially run a shorter and more targeted interim skilled nomination visa (subclass 190 and 491) program from 8 September 2020 until 5 October 2020.... For this interim period, applicants who are working in health or medical research and are contributing to Victoria’s economic recovery and/or health response will be selected. To be eligible to be considered for selection to apply for Victorian visa nomination, you must: - already be living in Victoria - already be working in Victoria (minimum six months employment) - work in a highly skilled occupation in health or medical research, which supports Victoria's economic recovery and/or health response.

09.01.2022 ** Update on Immigration SA state nomination** The Government of South Australia has been advised of a limited number of interim allocation places for the State’s General Skilled and Business Migration program for 2020/21, which will be prioritised to support South Australia’s economic and public health recovery. The full nomination allocations for 2020/21 will be determined later in the year as part of the 2020/21 Budget process.... Given the limited number of available nominations, South Australia’s program requirements and application processes for the General Skilled and Business programs are currently being finalised, with a view to applications being open in late August 2020. Based on direction from the Department of Home Affairs, applications will be prioritised according to: High quality applications within the Business Innovation and Investment Program, with those who have already lodged an ‘Intention to Apply’ given priority consideration.
