17.01.2022 For a year that felt like it was never going to end, we sure got to Christmas quickly! There will be many mixed feelings around the world about this holiday season, especially when lock-downs, border restrictions, and quarantine mandates are in place, physically keeping friends and family apart. We're so fortunate here in this little part of the world (Queensland, Aus) that we've enjoyed most freedoms that other places haven't. ... It's okay to feel disconnected, resentful, or lonely these holidays, just like it's okay to be merry and enjoy some time off (shake off that guilt!) We may not be able to afford the presents we usually buy, lunch might be a little less festive, or we may not be as generous as we usually are. Let's go forward with grace and remember to be kind to ourselves. It's been a rough year. If anything, let's use the time for rest and refill our cups. 12.01.2022 Goal Setting As the year comes to a close, there’ll be plenty of us writing down our New Years resolutions and reflecting on how 2020 has changed, challenged, or comforted us. If you’re writing down your aspirations, we encourage you to turn them into actionable goals! Here’s a few reasons why: People with written goals are 42% more likely to achieve them. Telling a friend bumps it up to 78% (accountability!)... Goals give direction to your efforts. Have you ever tried to keep your shopping under budget without a shopping list? You blow out a little right? Having a better understanding of yourself leads to better goal setting. 09.01.2022 Last week I was privileged to run an FY22 goal-setting workshop for this amazing woman’s team. We unpacked purpose, values, and behaviour alignment. We dug deep to see the life we truly wanted and there were tears shed when we looked into the hurdles that stopped us from getting there - personal internal barriers and external ones too. There’s richness in our lives that we are all capable of cultivating, and setting goals just helps us put one foot in front of the other. Thank you you to the ladies who let me in, showed vulnerability, and trusted me to do dig up into your beautiful minds a bit. Here’s to a strong year ahead! #girlpower
