24.01.2022 Copper is important for regulating the synthesis of neurotransmitters that mediate psychiatric symptoms. It is a co-factor in the chemical reaction that converts dooamine to norepinephrine. When cooper levels are high, more norepinephrine and epinephrine (adrenaline) are synthesised from dopamine, which can cause feelings of agitation, anxiety and panic, overestimation, racing thoughts, restlessness, and insomnia. In other words, it has an amphetamine-like effect revving th...e nervous system into a state of overdrive. In my clinic I see a lot of patients presenting with symptoms link high cooper level. 14.01.2022 Lavender and anxiety Lavender is one of my favourite medicinal herbs when it comes to treat anxiety Lavender is usually used in a form of an easy oil as part of aromatherapy.... I personally also use it in a form of frayed herbs ( for backing or as a tea) , but also as liquid extract in my clinic. Lavender is common used in treatment of anxiety disorders stress and insomnia, but also used for depression, dementia and nerve pain. Lavender has been shown to affect the parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system controls bodily processes associated with anxiety, such as heart rate, breathing rhythm, and hormones secretion. Lavender can help in regulating these body’s processes by restoring a neural state. This involves lowering the heart rate, adrenaline levels, and slowing the breath. #lavender #anxiety #naturopath #naturopathicconsultation #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #anxiety #herbalmedicine #holistichealth

It is often associated with seasonal allergies, food intolerance and symptoms such as headaches, nasal congestion, sneezing and difficulties breathing.... Histamine acts like a bouncer in a club. It helps your body get rid of something that’s bothering you, in this case, an allergy trigger or allergen What is a histamine intolerance then? Histamine intolerance occurs when there is a build up of histamine in the blood stream and the body is no longer able to break it all sufficiently Full article in bio.. #histamineintolerance #naturopathsydney #naturopathicmedicine #herbalmedicine #mentalhealthnaturopath #histaminefree #intollerance #allergies #sydeny #bondibeach

02.01.2022 ENJOYING LITTLE THINKS IN LIFE I’m definitely ready for this weekend, I have been a busy bee lately, I have been juggle a house moving, a new naturopathic practice, a casual job and much more. My stress level is through the roof. Yes I have been here before, this is not new for me... I’m an A personality and an Aquarius, I love to be busy, I love evolve, do and learn new things, sometimes I would love to have more hours in my day for be able to do more, and more energy too, but with time i start to understand my body, and unfortunately it doesn’t deal that well with stress, and my MTHFR mutation complicate things a bit more. Those with MTHFR genetic variation, as myself, are more likely to have an imbalance of neurotransmitter levels, which can affect mood and irritability, especially when stressed, in fact, high level of stress can exacerbate MTHFR MUTATIONS symptoms. It took me years to understand and adjust my lifestyle, but not I’m capable to stop, take time for myself and enjoy little things in life So I’m definitely ready for a slow, self care weekend.. What are you plans for this sunny weekend? #mthfrgenemutation #neurotransmitters #selfcare #depression #irritability#mentalheathnaturopath #nutrigenomics #genetics #wholistictherapy #holisticlifestyle #naturopathsydney #naturopathbondi #anxiety
