25.01.2022 I was asked today where Jorgo was as he was missing the De Havilland fly in. It's clear he was making up for it down south. - Mark

21.01.2022 Yeah, Ive shared this photo before. But it was an awesome trip with Norwich in the background. The previous night it was -12C, and the water froze inside the Harrier water tanks. So we couldnt fly that day. Better preparation for the next day meant no ice, and it was only -5C overnight. Big powerful engines and crisp air meant the thrust was incredible. Honestly I felt like I was in a Tie Fighter from Star Wars. Anyway we pitched 30 degrees nose up before a separation break resulted in this view. Big thanks to Jimmy!

19.01.2022 You'll find editorial from both Jorgo and Mark in the current edition of RetroBomb Magazine. Low res downloads are free, but it's worth buying the mag in print.

19.01.2022 On assignment for Playboy magazine (German Edition) I was sent to France to fly with and photograph the incredible Breitling Jet Team and their L-39 Albatros Jets. With a very wide 8-12mm lens I saw some strange views during loops - with the entire photo captured as a circle. During transit back to Dijon I asked to fly in a flat or belly turn (my height the same as the previous aircraft) in order to show off the sponsors name. Merci!

17.01.2022 Looking forward to another day working with Royal Australian Air Force 28Sqn team perched high above the Brisbane River for rehearsals of Riverfire display flights by 1Sqn Super Hornets. Here are yesterday's 36Sqn C-17 Globemaster III ripping along at 250ft.

16.01.2022 Happy 98th birthday to the Royal Australian Air Force! Here's a selection of some of Mark's favorite images captured of RAAF past and current warbirds.

16.01.2022 Im flying a Flat Belly turn on Chris Kellys Pitts, near Adelaide. The aim of such a turn is to match the leaders angle of bank, and align his fuselage with t...he horizon. Pulling on the elevator adjusts closeness, and using aileron adjusts your height...throttle for fore and aft movement, and you both roll out simultaneously. Extra fun when its done as a four ship... 15.01.2022 Mark's folio went live on International Society for Aviation Photography - now just to get Jorgo on there as well. Trying to pick favs from his aviation shoots is not going to be an easy or quick task.

15.01.2022 Looking forward to The Brisbane Airshow 4-5th July.

15.01.2022 Sadly I haven't gotten to Temora Aviation Museum in far too long. Here's some of my fav work featuring their warbirds. RAAF CA-27 Sabre VH-IPN / A94-983 Gloster Meteor F.8 - VH-MBX / VZ467 CA-13 Boomerang VH-MHR / A46-122 & Lockheed Hudson A16-112 | The Tojo Busters

13.01.2022 So far the De Havilland fly in at Caboolture has been fantastic and weather today looks perfect for more fun. https://www.facebook.com/pg/GreenmantleStudios/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10157925280357923

12.01.2022 Some airframe positions are somewhat difficult to get into when over 6' tall. Who knows where I was, and what I was in? (Hint: Texas)

12.01.2022 The sight and sound of a air force primary trainer like the 1930's Tiger Moth, a post WWII RAF trainer like the Chipmunk, or the style of a Gypsy Moth or Gypsy Major always raise a smile at the airfield. 07.01.2022 Throwback to Jorgo's shoot with the Breitling Jet Team over France in 2012.

07.01.2022 It was a rather cold Winters Day in England, and I insisted on an Open Cockpit aircraft to use as a photoship, for clearer photos. Nigel Lamb organised a Pitts Special, open cockpit for me, with pilot Adrian in the warm bubble behind. I think I wore two jackets over my flying suit and T-Shirt. It was probably 2 degrees on the ground, a tad colder upstairs, with a 300km/hr windchill literally freezing my tears. Regardless, the shoot went as advertised, with lots of colour, prop blur and action.

07.01.2022 We just grabbed this article from Royal Australian Air Force's Airforce News edition to congratulate SGT Christopher 'Dicko' Dickson on his third win of the 2018 SQNLDR W.T. Riggs Trophy, this time for his shot of the F-35A at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.
