24.01.2022 You may be surprised to hear that some of the awesome men and women that appear in these photos are actually doctors, student doctors and nurses who recently visited our site. The goal? To get a better understanding of how an underground mining operation works and what facilities we have on site. We are fortunate to have excellent medical facilities just 50kms down the road from our Cracow Gold Operations at the Theodore Hospital and Medical Centre.... While we have onsite paramedics on staff 24/7 at the operation, our relationship with the Theodore Hospital and Medical Centre is also very important to us. We had fantastic feedback from the day, and we were pleased to invite them to visit our site. We are Aeris. #mining #miningsafety #cracow #doctor #nurse #student #med #medical #medstudent #medschool #health #safety #wps #paramedic #weareaeris #cracow #gold #goldmining #undergroundmining
24.01.2022 Meet Ethan, who has recently joined us as a Trainee at our Cracow Gold Operations. We are proud of our partnership with the Wulli Wulli who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate at Cracow. Ethan joins a successful cohort of trainees, many of which after completing their Certificate III have taken up permanent roles at the mine.... In fact, Ethan's brother Will was a trainee in the Processing Plant and is now undertaking his apprenticeship with us to become a qualified fitter. #mining #career #miningaustralia #queensland #cracow #miningjobs #miningopportunities #trainee #certification
24.01.2022 Last week, one of our team members snapped this stunning photo at Cracow With widespread storms, the frogs have been croaking and the rain gauges are filling. Even with storms brewing, it's still a beautiful part of QLD. #mothernature #cracow #mining #queensland #photography #photos #shot #storms #miningaustralia #australia #outback #regionalqueensland

20.01.2022 Our Emergency Response Teams are always up for the challenge to test their skills in different scenarios. So why not a scenario in a confined space, which just so happens to be super muddy as well. The team handled the exercise with their usual calm and capable approach, and the exercise was a success. Albeit a muddy one... We are Aeris. #safety #rescue #mining #miningaustralia #safetyteams #ert #emergencyrescue #undergroundmining #cracow #queensland #minerlife #goldmining
18.01.2022 If you had to guess what Cracow was famous for, other than gold and the Cracow pub, what would it be? That's right, Fossils! (We bet a lot of you got that straight away, huh?) As well as gold, Cracow is famous for seams of fossils that were found across the countryside. ... Most of them were from early to mid Permian time, which is around 260-280 MILLION YEARS AGO. Literally, ancient. The day-to-day mining operations at Cracow don’t impact upon the outcrops of the fossil-bearing rocks. This is because we’re an underground gold mine and our access (portal) is situated well east of the outcrops of the Oxtrack & Buffel Formations. We have even been lucky enough to have a few international palaeontology students and enthusiasts visit the area. #mining #mininghistory #fossils #miningaustralia #archeologist #goldmining #queensland #miningqld #weareaeris

13.01.2022 Last week, Community & Indigenous Relations Advisor Kristy met with proud Wulli Wulli women Elizabeth Blucher and Georgina Gooda to complete a Cultural Heritage Survey that helps us protect Cultural Heritage. The ladies stopped to take a break from the fieldwork to go over the work and discuss the afternoon's approach. We work cohesively and in support of the Wulli Wulli, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate at Cracow.... #community #cracow #theodore #heritage #history #goldmining #traditionallandowners #culture #wulliwulli
12.01.2022 At Aeris Resources, we support the Australian Government's COVID-19 Vaccine Roadmap initiative and the 80% eligible population vaccination target. We have set the goal of reaching or exceeding the 80% double vaccinated target for our workforce by the end of this calendar year. Through a Voluntary Vaccination Program, we are supporting our employees and contractors at our sites to get vaccinated. ... This month was our first raffle draw for $250 gift vouchers. Those who were vaccinated were entered into the draw, with two winners announced for both sites! Thank you to everyone involved, and congratulations to this month's winners. #mining #miningaustralia #ceo #cracow #goldmining #miningqld #qld #brisbane #fifo #dido

05.01.2022 #meetourpeople Meet Natalie, Site Administrator at Cracow Gold Operations. Fun fact - this is Natalie's 8th week with us at 'The Crac', so be sure to make her feel welcome! ... Originally from Theodore, Natalie has spent the last four years in Cairns, North Queensland. She is happy to be home and is grateful to 'get those country morals' into her child! On her days off, you can find her doing up old furniture at home. Self-taught (with the help of some youtube videos), her last project was an old Singer sewing machine with a cast iron stand. Since joining us, Natalie has enjoyed learning from different departments and loves how helpful everyone is. "Even if it's not their department, they try to help or point me in the right direction. and I am really grateful for that". "I love that I am home every night with my son and to be working for a company that supports our little country town". So far, Natalies top three life highlights are: "Not passing out whenI got my first tattoo" "Giving birth to my son" "Buying our first home this year" Buying a first home though has to be at the top of her bucket list. "I never thought I would be able to do it on my own, so this was my number one priority for the last couple years and I am really proud to be able to give my son a home, not just a house." It is an absolute pleasure to have you as a part of our team Natalie. #meetourpeople #womeninmining #theodore #miningaustralia #goldmining #queensland #dido #womeninresources
