25.01.2022 Moving outside this morning for some time to work ON my biz - LinkedIn strategy actually! Just posted my first LinkedIn story, so will see how it goes! The cleaner is working her magic inside and the sun is shining. I love strategic planning away from my desk - change of scenery always helps me think differently, plus there’s less distractions! Are you on LinkedIn? Have we connected there? I’m keen to dive in and see where it takes me! Let’s connect over there too.

22.01.2022 Whether it's a checklist, a documented process, a template or a project management tool to help you and the team stay on top of who's doing which task, and when will it be done - don't pass go until you have systems in place. Systems will: save you time ease your mental load... allow someone else to do a task just as well as you enable you to improve save you money make it easier for you get the results you want You can't grow your business without them. Don't be afraid - they'll actually do the heavy lifting of running your business for you! Go on. You've got this far!

20.01.2022 So yesterday we arrived in Perth after 10 weeks on the road (4.5 weeks to go) and today I have jeans a jumper and a scarf on and IT FEELS SO GOOD! I love winter and the colder months, so I have really missed being able to snuggle up by a fire, rug up and wear scarves! Feels like we’re getting closer to home & my type of weather!... Photobomber as per usual is wearing beanie, jumper and jacket!! She feels the cold a lot. We’re heading into the city to explore today! #perth #winter #roadtripaustralia

17.01.2022 I've mentioned before that templates are a great way to systemise and make processes easier. Here's 3 quick ways templates save me time, and help me stay productive. I use a template for creating the metatdata for my videos and blogs so that I don't forget all of the different elements I need - especially for the SEO.... I use email templates for 90% of my client communication. I use a template for any repetitive tasks I have in ClickUp so that the subtasks and any checklist appears when I need it, instead of trying to remember what to do, which is a great help for me team as well. It saves me time and money, and it also saves them time. Double win! Templates are the bomb! What kind of templates do you use to help you?

15.01.2022 5 Features of a Project Management tool: Here's a list of 5 things I think you need to get clear on to help you choose the right project management tool for you. Multiple Views... Some tasks and project are better with a board view, some work better as a list view - and having flexibility to flick through them is really important. Asana has list, board and calendar view. ClickUp has these, as well as doc view, timeline, mindmap, gantt, chat view, table view...and even embed view! Custom Fields and Status There's always more to a project than who its assigned to and when it's due. Having the option of adding additional information takes a project management system to the next level. Similarly, there is more to a project than to do, in progress and done. Easy Collaboration Your project management tool should allow you and your business to groe in capacity, so team collaboration is absolutely essential - but it has to be simple, not a chore! Asana and ClickUp both have the ability to comment on tasks, as well as an Inbox to see wherever you have been @mentioned, or are watching a task - making it easy to stay on track with ease. App for working on the go Having an app helps you keep everything in one place, and stay on track. My tasks and Team Tasks Being able to view anything that is assigned to you, regardless of which project it's in allows you to prioritise so much more effectively. Asana and ClickUp both have the option of viewing your tasks so that you just see and prioritise your own, or you can get the bird's eye view of the whole project, depending on what you need to get done. There you go - the top 5 essential aspects your project management tool needs to do for you. I'm a ClickUp Vetted Consultant, and an Asana Certified Pro. If you want to know more abour your PM tool, or want to get the most out of yours, DM me!

12.01.2022 Trello VS Asana Vs ClickUp Comparison! TRELLO Pros: It’s really visual and creative people love it easy to add images to make it pretty.... It’s quick and easy to get up and running Moving tasks through a workflow using this visual process is clear and simple Has checkboxes in the cards/ tasks Cons: You only get one 'powerup' to add extra functionality - not even a calendar is included. As only board view, it’s very limiting Yes, you can add the calendar, but why isn’t it there from the get-go? You can’t see ALL of the tasks. You have to go into each project individually so it’s hard to get the bird’s eye view. **note you can if you add a power-up ASANA Pros: Really simple to set up your projects and tasks very quickly Can easily flick through board, list and calendar view My Tasks for prioritising tasks assigned to you is fantastic. It pulls in all of the tasks from ALL projects and allows you to sort them by due date or project Inbox makes collaboration super easy. There you will find any updates or comments to tasks you are watching, so that you can keep up to date easily. You can also create follow up tasks from there, show your appreciate or comment, without having to click through to the task The Slack, Asana, Gmail combo is pretty awesome! Cons: The features that allow for more customised use are premium such as the Dashboards, custom fields, forms and goals The recurring task and templating task functions are very limiting Many (95%) don’t use the Inbox for collaborating, so don’t get the time-saving benefit. . CLICKUP Pros: For the cost, it is mind blowingly good, and there are still some amazing features about to be launched Inbox, Dashboards, Automations, MindMaps You get nearly all of the features at the free price to test them out It can really become a business management hub for you and your team. There is just SO MUCH flexibility Cons: It can take a little longer to get your head around that’s where I can help you - I'm a ClickUp Vetted Consultant) Takes a little longer to set up and customise Keeping up with all of the new featuresand they’re still coming!

08.01.2022 ClickUp is such a good allrounder when it comes to helping businesses manage all of the moving pieces of their business - the people, the tasks, the plans, the dates Here's the top 5 reasons WHY ClickUp is a great tool to help you manage your business and your team. 1- Templates Like any business, there are templates. ClickUp allows you to create template folders, lists, tasks and checklists - so that the due dates, person responsible, custom fields and other data associated... with the task can all be replicated. This saves so much time. Here's a quick example: Have a recurring process that happens every week (or day)? Create a template so that it happens and notifies the person and gives them everything they need to complete it consistently every time - without you having to do anything except set it up. 2- Custom Fields Custom Fields allows your task management tool to become a superpowered spreadsheet! You can add calculations, people, emails, files, star ratings....the list is endless and provides you with countless ways to enhance your team and operations management 3- Task Organisation This is not your every day to do list. ClickUp allows you to organise your tasks into lists, categories, departments, topics - however you do business. It's fully customiseable - and a place where to do, in progress and done are totally superseded! 4- Calculations Although you no doubt have your accounting system, ClickUp's calculation fields allow you to know how much budget is spent against a project, how much is remaining, how much time is left, how much stock is remaining - you get the picture. It's another fun way to track all the info in one place! 5- Multiple Views Instead of just the list view, or the board view, you can have a chat view, docs, mind maps, calendar, timeline, tables....all managing the information in the way that you need. So many options! If this has piqued your interest about how ClickUp can be set up to help you manage all of the moving parts in your business, then DM me. I'm a Vetted ClickUp Consultant and can design, consult or train your team on how to work more productively using a project management tool.

07.01.2022 Roses and watermelons! So summery!! Sunday vibes here. Looks pretty - but the reality was a lot of dust to wipe down, dog hair to blow away and ironing to tick off my list . Hope you survived lockdown SA!

07.01.2022 Debbie started using ClickUp because she knew it would benefit her office, as well as give her back some time and mental space. As the Account Manager in her small business, her role is to be across everything. She covers special projects, the accounts department, operations management and contracts management. No wonder she was feeling like she needed a tool to help her stay on top of everything. After 2 sessions with me helping her navigate and optimise ClickUp so that she ...and her team could start to work together more effectively, she had this to say: "I implemented ClickUp into our Accounts Department, but was overwhelmed trying to manage multiple tasks in different areas of business development. Due dates were not being met and it was difficult to plan ahead without doubling up on tasks. Aerlie helped me get a high level overview by tweaking different views, filters and layouts to manage departments in business in ClickUp, that has allowed our team to be more collaborative, plan ahead and execute easily." I love digging into a small business and seeing how it works, how everyone communicates and manages the work. The project management platform is important for transparency, collaboration, planning ahead and accountability. #clickup #projectmanagement #productivitytips

05.01.2022 My Black Friday treat! I’ve been hanging out for this for months! This little upgrade is another little step up - but such a fun one! I’m a big believer in incremental improvements along the path and this feels like a great step!

03.01.2022 A whole weekend away! So far have spent the day walking by the lake, swimming in the pool & hanging out by the lake. It’s sooo relaxing. I’m a big believer in switching off so that I can switch on again instead of constantly being on and wearing out. It’s just not sustainable for me so I’m soaking up the relaxation big time!! #barmera #lakebonney #chillaxing #projectmanagementconsultant #smallbusinessownership #worklifebalance

03.01.2022 Bike riding this afternoon on the Amy Gillet track Woodside, and a 90 min yoga class this morning. Taki g the calm moments of the weekend to take with me into the week. It’s going to be a huge on, with lots of new clients and my ClickUp Workshop starting Tuesday. There’s a lot to do but before I’m in the middle of it I’m making the most of being outside and enjoying the weather. We love the swings on the bike track - good places to stop. I play word games with Lucy long the way so she doesn’t realise how far she goes! Hope you have a fab week.

02.01.2022 I’m on the deck at the @webergrillacademyau tonight for a @business.sa event no doubt making my husband envious of all the bbqs here . It’s a gorgeous evening overlooking Victoria Park!

02.01.2022 Over the Christmas break I did a lot of reflecting about what hobbies and activities I want to spend more time doing. Term 4 always gets a bit hectic and the pace of life seems to get even faster, so life flies by and I feel like I forget about the things I love because I'm often thinking about what everyone else needs. Here's 3 things I love to do in my "spare" time. Note: This is usually a weekend afternoon or after dinner sometimes. There's not 'that' mich spare time reall...y! #1 Draw - specifically succulents and pot plants is what I've been practising lately! I put Spotify on and google 'drawing succulents' and there's so many to choose from! #2 Spin - I love to spin and have a Spin Bike at home. I just use the Les Mills spins classes, but the also have 'The Trip' which I save up for weekend spins, because they are computer generated journeys, so I cycle underwater, through deserts, cities...it's so much fun! 3. Cooking - Yes. I love pottering around in the kitchen. I crave food with flavour, and pour over recipes to cook that are not in the 'on the table in 15 mins or less' category, and would happily while away the afternoon cooking and baking! What about you? What do you love to do?

01.01.2022 A lot of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed with all of the work that needs to be done, and generally feeling like they are pulled from pillar to post with work all over the place. They don't feel productive, and are exhausted with the mental load of keeping up with everything. This is one of the most important reasons why I recommend a project management tool - even if it's just you working in your business - or if you have a small team. **PM Tools I recommend: ClickU...p and Asana (I'm certified in both ) The project management tool can do all of the remembering, organising, reminding and prioritising for you. However - it won't work well for you if it's not set up effectively. Here's 5 tips to help you feel more productive and less overwhelmed! Plan your week using a time blocking template instead of one to do list I recommend creating an ideal week that has time blocks mapped out that cover the categories of work you do. Then you can prioritise the individual tasks you want to achieve in that time block. Organise your tasks in your PM tool into the same time block categories Using your weekly time block template, you now know that Tuesday morning is (for example) content creation block, so the only to do list you need to focus on is your content creation task. This strategy instantly cuts out ALL of the other tasks and allows you to batch content creation for the week, instead of trying to squeeze it in each day. Centralise your tasks into one place. If you have sticky notes, emails, things to do in your head, a note book AND your project management tool then your weekly planning will be difficult. If you keep everything in your PM tool, then it's easier to plan, prioritise, and see what's coming up. This eases the mental load considerably. Set up your recurring tasks for any that recur Use the PM tool for any tasks that are repetitive. You don't need to keep writing it down every week on your to do list. Let the tool do the work for you! Use the calendar view on your PM tool to get the overview of the week (not just the day) so that you can drop and drag to spread the workload, prioritise, delegate or delete!
