14.01.2022 We are proud to support our favourite local rural show with sponsorship for categories within the Honey and Junior Model Making sections - we're looking forward to seeing what these young potential engineers create! And congrats to the Freds Pass Rural Community Show Inc. on it's 40th year!

13.01.2022 Wheels up at sunrise this morning, heading out to McArthur River for a quick job. The fuel's cheap out here! Yep, that's $3.45/litre #remotemaintenance #remotecallout #mobileengineer

12.01.2022 AIRCRAFT RECOVERY ~ MURPHY REBEL (Part 1) In March 2018, a local private pilot suffered an engine failure over Litchfield National Park, causing a forced landing. The pilot did a fantastic job identifying a clear field which, due to the time of year, was actually a very large swamp. The emergency landing was text book, but due to the boggy ground, the plane unfortunately flipped upside down at the last minute. Both pilot and one passenger stepped out unscathed but devastated... to see their pride and joy damaged. Aerospace was commissioned to recover and rebuild the aircraft. The recovery task involved removing the propeller and wings, flipping upright and maneuvering everything out of the swamp through tough Territory bush to higher ground (the drone video gives a great view of the exercise - thanks Martin Evans) then all wreckage was transported by car trailer back to our hangar at the MKT Airfield.

05.01.2022 Did you know that this December 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the first flight from London to Darwin? It truly was a remarkable achievement by those magnificent men in their flying machines! Follow the Great Air Race page to keep up to date with the celebrations and the history of the race.

03.01.2022 The most exciting thing at Derby airport this week was seeing this beast. It's original identity was a McDonald Douglas DC-3, but has been modified to be known as a Douglas DC-3 Brasler BT-67 Turboprop. It looks like it has very important work to do...

03.01.2022 Working at Derby Airport this week. How's the serenity?

02.01.2022 Unlucky news for one our valued customers after a hangar collapse thanks to Cyclone Marcus.
