24.01.2022 Want to hear how a high school teacher from Houston, Texas beat more than 30,000 people to win the world’s largest speech competition? Ramona J. Smith, this year’s World Champion of Public Speaking, sat down with Business Insider to explain how she did it. "When I got on the stage, I said: 'You know what? I'm just going to do whatever feels good. I'm going to do whatever feels right. I'm not going to care about what happens.'" http://bit.ly/TI_RamonaBI

16.01.2022 Are you smiling? Did you know for example that smiling makes people more comfortable with you as a speaker? Your facial expressions are extremely important in public speaking. The way you look says a lot about how you feel and about your message. At the same time, you don’t want to be smiling through a very serious story. Your facial expressions should be in line with the story.

09.01.2022 Focus was an excellent theme for last night. We had an excellent meeting, focused on enjoying the speakers, Table Topics, Evaluations and learning about Meeting Procedures. One of the best lines to come out of our Table Topics for me, was John's; "grapes jumping for joy in the Yarra Valley wineries" As the weather improves, I'm sure we're all looking forward to a picnic with loved ones.
