09.01.2022 You may have heard it from a friend, read it on a Facebook story or maybe even an injecting practitioner has told you that doing a little bit of baby Botox before you get wrinkles will prevent wrinkles in the future. But is this really true? To date there is no sound evidence to suggest that Botox is preventative. You may not know but Botox acts as a security guard between your neuron and the muscle and blocks the signal your brain is trying to send to tell it to ...move. After some time where the muscle isn’t moving the static line (wrinkles you can see when resting) will heal and you’ll have a smooth area of skin. There is no evidence that stopping this communication with Botox before an actual wrinkle has formed will stop it from appearing in the future.
