16.01.2022 I'm not a salesperson, never have , never will be, but I will tell clients or anyone who will listen what i put on my skin and what i recommend will help them with theirs. Homecare is extremely important, its not a sales pitch. You see "maybe" if you are on to it, your skin therapist every 4-6 week, sometimes months if you are busy or have money restrictions so therefore what you are doing at home you may repeat before your next treatment anywhere between 60-120 times. ... Therefore using the correct products that are designed and recommended to your skin concern is so important, not the ones you have found on line via an Instagram influencer or wondering the isle of Priceline. If you want results, you need to be consistent and take on the advise of the therapist. This beautiful client, who lives in Sydney.. yep that's right she lives 9 hours away from me.. I consult with her via the phone. My husband would say i consult with her on a daily basis as she is my bestfriend. She is a busy mum, of two young children, and we all know that means sleep is pretty much non existent as is time and filling her own cup with self care. But on our daily, sometimes many conversations. she would complain that her skin was breaking out, dry, dull and lifeless. I suggested what I stock in the clinic and what I use and swear by and that is @ultraderm. when I said " please trust me on this " I think i could here her brain say " gosh I've heard this one before usually ends in a big night our followed by a headache". Although similar studies are still required for humans, studies in laboratory animals show that percutaneous vitamin C absorption greatly depends on pH. When it comes to ascorbic acid preparations with a pH below 4.0 aid transportation by promoting the uncharged form of vitamin C. Although concentrations of vitamin C up to 30% have been used for animal studies, maximal absorption was achieved with a 20% vitamin C solution, with higher concentrations showing lower absorption. Topical application of ascorbic acid will cross the epidermis into the underlying dermal layers. Therefore 10-20% is proven to provide optimal absorption. Another important consideration is that the stability of vitamin C in topical solutions is a concern, as exposures to air, heat, and/or light may slowly degrade vitamin C.
