14.01.2022 The petroglyphs of Cochno The Cochno petroglyph stone is a mystery, it was discovered in 1887 by the Reverend James Harvey, and is located in Auchnacraig, in the Scottish municipality of West Dunbartonshire, it is considered one of the best sets of petroglyphs in Europe. It contains more than 90 ring marks, geometric motifs, spirals, human footprints and engravings with different carvings, it is about 5,000 years old, it measures 13 meters long and 8 meters wide. Petroglyphs ...led to different theories about its possible use or meaning. Some suggest that it could be a map of the surrounding settlements, others for ceremonial and religious reasons, or observations of an astronomical cosmic map. Since its discovery in 1887 and until 1964, the Cochno stone remained in its original place, but In the last year, archaeologists from the University of Glasgow recommended that it be buried several meters deep?
