23.01.2022 Recently, I needed to buy a desk fairly quickly. The shops were almost shutting, I jumped online and started my search. The usual large department stores and office supply stores all offered me a flat packed box of laminated chip wood for a few hundred dollars... not exactly what I was after. So I went to marketplace and gumtree to source a more traditional timber desk for a lower price. I found several that I liked at both extortionate and cheap prices respectively. I sent ...messages, called, waited.... some sellers never bothered to reply. Trying to find a time to meet the sellers, negotiate a deal and then worry about hiring a trailer to get the desk home was a logistical nightmare.
