08.01.2022 A new survey about the legal needs of people in Australia was published today by the Law and Justice Foundation of New South Wales. It finds that almost half of all Australians experience a legal problem in each year, and about a quarter of us experience a substantial legal problem. These problems were associated with financial strain, stress related illnesses, physical ill health, relationship breakdown and even having to move home. The survey shows that while people seek h...elp, they dont necessarily ask a lawyer. At Affording Justice we try to make asking a lawyer and getting legal help as accessible as possible, so that people can use the law to solve problems before they have those negative consequences. If you need help with a legal problem, get in touch. You can read more about the survey at http://www.lawfoundation.net.au//LAW_Survey_Summary_FINAL.

We are delighted to have our work recognised in this way. You can find a link to the report here http://www.rmit.edu.au/browse;ID=gyodadf0rfnqz

04.01.2022 Thank you! The number of clients who come to us because they are directly referred by someone are increasing. Recently we have been in touch with Neighbourhood Centres, Community Centres and Family Relationship Centres to let them know about our services, and we are noticing a significant increase in clients who found out about us this way. We also continue to get referrals from other lawyers, and previous clients. So thank you to all those who are letting people who need legal help know about what we can offer.
